The funniest thing was; when the tour guide was by John's house in Liverpool he tolded us to watch the 'In His Life' movie (because the actor (that was john) was in John's room), and then I asked about the 'Nowhere Boy' film and he said:

'Rubbish. Absolute rubbish.

Best Lennon movie is Nowehere Boy .. "only" covers up to pre-Hamburg but it's a class movie with great actors, script and all the rest.

The only 'inaccuracy' I spotted was they show John buying his first guitar with Aunt Mimi in a shop, whereas I read his first guitar was given to him by Julia who bought it mail order.

Yes, it's true the actor is now in a relationship with the director (that happened during the film making) and they've also since had a child. He's really good-looking though and she's stinking rich so.... we'll see how long it lasts!

At one point in the movie, though, I might have started crying...? I think it was when he found out his mom died and he just ran home and angrily strummed "Love Me Tender" on his cheap guitar...

Oh God that movie is just so bad that's hillarious. I think they created the literal video. When they sing The Long and Winding Road, Peter Frampton walks in a guess what?? Long and Winding Road. When they sing "Boy, you've got to carry that weight" he is carrying his girlfriend's coffin. Awesome.

The funeral for his mother was really sad, and so was the part when his mother told him everything. It was a pretty awesome movie, and the actor actually kinda looked like him.

I actually enjoyed it. It chronicled John's life from ages 17 to 24 (ending with John preparing to leave for the U.S. for the first time). As with every 'historical' movie there were some minor inaccuracies and much liberty taking, but all-in-all enjoyable.
