Oh I'm glad you can see it outside the UK. The BBC tends to encode all clips with a UK IP limit, as people elsewhere don't fund the corporation's video costs, and the rights issues can be very complicated for other territories.

I'll add an Epstein smiley. Leave it with me. Any others? George Martin should really have one. Maybe I'll leave it at that - I don't want loads of non-J, P, G + R ones.

Fascinating clip Joe! What a brilliant quote from Eppy "Sometimes I don't think I'm ruthless enough [in business]". If ever there was a home truth, that was one of the biggest!

And that end bit in the studio - wouldn't say it was either. The
vocalist had rather a distinctive non-Liverpudlian sound to my ears.

Those of us in the UK can watch these brief interviews with Brian Epstein and Maureen Cleave from a 1964 edition of the BBC's Panorama. I suspect there's an IP restriction for people elsewhere.

It's a fascinating look at how things have changed in the years since. Cleave: "They [The Beatles] rather like the fact he [Epstein] has a Bentley, and a Jaguar, and a coloured manservant. They like the riches and glamour that his life seems to have."

At the end there's a shot at the end of a band recording in Studio Two, Abbey Road. ...
