I love Apples because I'm an Apple Scruff
BTW I'm scared to hell. My local newspaper has published in the last week 4 stories (yeah 4) about John Lennon. And with the same picture (I'm quite tempted to send them some pics by mail).
I'm wondering if Yoko has some shares on my local newspaper….

OfflineThanks Von Bontee. Tonight we're having a Mexican dinner and some tequila. (like in all Mexican households)
But I wrote that in my signature because today during a local radio show the host started the show shouting "¡Viva los Beatles!" and played Besame Mucho.
It gives me chills when I hear this song with them.
BTW Skye… is this going to be on American TV??? When???

OfflineThis is from the PBS website quoting Lennon's producer Jack Douglas:
A highlight of the interview is Douglas’ account about a probable
Beatles reunion for a Ringo album slated to be recorded in early 1981.
According to Douglas, Lennon had told him both he and Paul McCartney had
signed on to the album and each had written original songs for Ringo.
Lennon’s songs, “Stepping Out” and “Nobody Told Me” instead appeared on
Lennon’s posthumous album, Milk and Honey.
Amazing what might have been.

OfflineThe legal drinking age is 18. But the law is not strictly enforced, so if you're 17 but look like 18, you can buy booze anywhere. That's why teens from US border come to Mexico on weekends to drink. That's why most of teens die because of car accidents caused by a drunk person.
About that Beatles reunion…. John Paul and George were supposed to play together in Ringo's album???

I've always wanted to ask this. What is the drinking age in Mexico?
You would ask that.
I'm just curious, that's all…

I Don't Wanna Face It (from Milk And Honey) was also written for Ringo. Those three songs were to have been recorded for 1981's top And Smell The Roses (originally called can't Fight Lightning) but after John died he felt he couldn't record them.

OfflineI finished the Jack Douglas interview last night. It was fantastic! I do wonder if his story has changed a bit – I'll have to look up old interviews to see how it compares. I got the Bob Gruen interview yesterday. I plan to listen to it tonight.
Seriously, go listen to it now.

OfflineThe new podcast is up with Jim Keltner, a session drummer who worked with John and George. Next week is Elton John.
The Yoko love continues. I'm not sure how I feel about this. She's bold, but not controling. She isn't unusal for a New York Avant-Garde artist. "John wore the pants in that family." – Keltner

I have the DVR ready to record this Monday night. Can't wait!
BTW skye – I regret to inform you I have not done my homework by listening to all of the full length podcasts.
Did you? If so, what are your opinions of them?
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, Let it roll for all its worth.
