I don't know who Colin Morgan is (ducks....) All I know is Klaus was totally hot in the 60s and a fabulous musician (he learned classical piano when he was a child and has his own signature 8 string guitar called a Vootar on which you can play bass and guitar). Don't worry I hardly knew anything about Klaus about 2 months ago - the docu will take care of that I now have a stack of Manfred Mann cds ...

Thanks to AliJaggerMcCartney and RumbleDoll for bringing this to my attention. I had no idea there was a documentary on Klaus and I would like to know more about him.

I thought he got gypped by not getting an intro when he appeared on Concert For George. I must have seen the film about 3 or 4 times before i spotted him in the background during All Things Must Pass (at :49).

Hi...I realize this is old, but I just found this - yes, The Klaus Voormann docu "All You Need is Klaus" is a German production (now out on dvd, at least in Germany), although it appears most of it was filmed in English. There is the German version on the dvd, but I always go straight to the English version, so I couldn't comment on what it's like.

There're a couple of things in German in there, like for example Klaus's wife Christina speaks perfect English, but she was interviewed in German with a rather wonky translation (whoever did the subtitles ...

I saw it on the Smithsonian Channel the other day, it was good except two things suprised me. One, there wasn't alot of involvement with Astrid, she only appeared once in the film, Carly Simon had more involvement in the film and I believe Astrid was a bit more important in Klaus' life than just Carly Simon and writing the bass for "You're So Vain". Astrid had more involvement in "George Harrison: Living In the Material World" than "All You Need Is Klaus", which is kind of odd if you ask me. And second, Astrid was speaking German throughout her 25 second segment ...
