He definitely looks like Paul! He even has the same crow's feet. And his mannerisms are very Paul alike as well (perhaps intentionally). I like looking at him.

Yeah, finished the movie yesterday, and I was pretty disappointed with it. I felt like it was a series of cover Beatles music videos made into a movie, which in an essence it is I suppose. ...

I saw it a couple of days ago and it was quite good. I didn't expect much, but it was quite interesting how the songs can inspire someone to make a movie. The songs were covered pretty well and the script good enough not to get bored.

I protested this movie for so long. I finally gave into curiosity though and really found it quite surprising. I definitely agree with the most common dislikes about it; choppy plot, missed character development, Bono. I did enjoy the quick reference snips like "she came in through the bathroom window" and "this is Rita" it seemed to me like it was more of giving a little back to big fans, they would get somethings not everyone would. I cringe when I hear covers but Let It Be was just absolutely amazing, with the imagery as well as the vocals, I can't say enough good things about this ...

I really love this movie. My first introduction to the Beatles really. Cinematography is amazing. The acting by two lead guys of Jude (Jim Sturgess) and Max (Joe Anderson) were very good. I enjoyed their songs the most especially I Want You, Strawberry Fields, and Happiness is a Warm Gun. I wasn't to thrilled with Lucy's (Evan Rachel Woods) character or her songs. Sorta killed Blackbird and If I Fell for me for a long time. Some covers were great like I Am the Walrus and Let It Be (saddest scene) while It Won't Be Long and Don't Let Me ...

I watched the movie last night, and I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed it..

I have read this thread before watching the movie and was prepared for the worst, which turned out to be a good strategy

Since this was the first time that I listen to Beatles songs being covered, it took me a while to get used to the idea..

While I agree that it isn't a great movie critically, the acting was good and the songs ranged from really good covers (I Want You) to some annoying ones (Don't Let me Down - ...

The movie was OK. Visually, it was stunning. The art direction was amazing. And the singing was good, but I just felt the plot was slapped together, like someone said "OK, we have all these songs to use. How can we make a plot of them all?" All the characters named after Beatles songs, Sadie, Lucy, Jude, JoJo, Dr. Robert, Prudence. It seemed way too fan-fictiony to me, like the ones I've read about the girl named Michelle that Paul ends up falling in love with, so much so, he'll eventually write a song, of course.
