Is the DVD commentary worth seeing? I have the DVD, but I don't want to waste my time.
The extra disc has interviews and the making of the movie but no 'sit down' interviews with any of the Fab Four. It is the same with 'Help!' If you are short on time, I would bag it.

yeah I thought that was good too! "I now declare this fish n chip shop open!"
I saw a Rolling Stones movie yesterday and that made me want to see a Beatles one so I went and bought this one. after thouroughly enjoying myself I remembered about this little Beatle community. I guess I've just been in my own little world. so here I am! back!
I wish there was a waving Ringo. at least there's a new "stay on topic" icon. and a heart/apple. yay.

I LOVE this movie!!!! I just watched it tonight *looks at clock* okay, Yesterday night, in fact…I love a ton of scenes but me favourites are probably the scene when they play "This Boy" even though I feel bad for Ringo because he drops his camera into the water, the scene where John declares the bridge open, the scene where they "hurt" the man's field by playing around on it, and A LOT more!!! actually, I LOVE THE WHOLE MOVIE!!!!!!!! How can you resist Ringo either, he's is the hottest and sexiest and cutest guy ever!!!!

Yes, but I have read the forum enough to know you had the name Paul McCartney, and then due to a joke about you calling yourself Paul but having never smoked, you changed it. And told us. So I simp ask people follow in the footsteps, and tell us when they change their name, as to know who they are.

So I was watching the movie again yesterday since it was on. I really, and I mean really, realized how many sexual references were made in this movie. I'm like "Oh crap!" Did people not think anything about the phrase 'pink edged daisy' or when Paul grandfather was talking to the young girl at the Le Cirque Club and said 'I bet you're a great swimmer'.
I don't think this movie would necessarily be appropriate today. Well of course it wouldn't. No smoking in movies and etc.
On another note: I have to start dancing just like the people in the club scene. Lots of fun. I really want to dance with Ringo.

I never thought pink edged daisy had anything more to it, but even when I was 11, the I bet you're a great swimmer line made me laugh. 
Ringo was just a machine dancing in that movie. He'd have been a lot of fun.

The more I watch AHDN the more I catch the hidden jokes.For example the most recent time I watched it I realized that when the reporter asked Paul the question "Are you seeing your dad?" and Paul replied "We're just good friends" it meant are they dating.I really need to pay more attention to AHDN because I'm sure there's a lot more things I didn't catch yet.

This topic´s a bit dead so I thought I´d try and revive it!
And also ask a question:
There´s a point in the film, when they´re at the TV studios, possibly about halfway through the film. John bumps into one of the actresses and she says that he looks like somebody (and then after a bit she says that actually he doesn't look like him at all). Who does he supposedly look like? I either can´t hear who she says, or she doesn't say? Can anyone help? It's been bugging me over the last few days….

She is saying he looks like the "John" character in the film, and not wanting to deal with being recognised again, John sets about convincing her that he's not, that he just looks like him.

I wonder if it was a play on the idea held by many that they all looked the same with the haircuts, suits, boots etc. I know folk have said elsewhere she was thinking John was Paul but i would go along with the lady thinking it was John who was being mischievous, in keeping with his characterisation in the film, and having a bit of fun. They were in a studio for recording so it would have been known the Beatles were in the building afterall.
