I haven't read it it, but I've just finished his follow-up, Working Class Mystic, a biog of George Harrison. He's a good writer.

I just picked this book up from the library and though am only a couple chapters in, have found it very enjoyable. I would recommend so far to any Lennon or Beatles fan. Based on the site I am posting on, there may be a few here.
