Yeah...perhaps we oversold it a bit But it *is* sad when you consider she's pushing 80 and still feels that much regret and resentment. Understandable that she does, but still...it's sad.

I just remembered an error in a book I was reading not too long ago (I don't remember what the book was called).

It showed this picture:

But the picture was turned around for some reason, so John was on the far left, etc. Now, it would be understandable if the caption was the reverse of the picture in the book and the same as the above image... but instead of "Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, and John Lennon," ...

Im going to hang back and then get it for christmas from family as i can happily wait. I got the mono and stereo boxes for christmas from family tho they were all opened, uploaded to ipod and played by mid-September 2009. Dont go into this must wait til the day arrives before opening to presents and gift giving, open when you want - its your gift, as soon as given its up to you what you do with it - jump up and down on it and chuck it in the bid for all i care.

I can type it out for you if you want to read it and don't mind not being surprised (mildly) when you read it...up to you. It's nothing shocking or revealing, it's just really sad.

Interesting...I'd been thinking of picking up Pattie's book, at least on my iPad...perhaps I will now!

Linde, glad you liked Cynthia's book. I agree with you, it seemed like she NEVER got over John, even to the very end, but it was a bit sad how much it held her back in the 70s. Still, I supposed it's understandable. Although when you read that final paragraph, it's really quite sad and puts the rest of the entire book in stark relief.
