Of course you hardly ever know whom you're bidding against. Reminds me of a story though: years ago, I was bidding on the handwritten lyrics to Lennon's "God." At some point the person next to me gently elbowed me and said, "You're bidding against the Hard Rock Cafe." I was never gonna win that one...

Every now and then I'll post some memorabilia that I've pulled out of a closet and dusted off.

This piece is quite different: it's future memorabilia.

You see, it's dated 2012 and was just given to me today by someone at work.

What I find remarkable is that a 40-50 year old band would still be considered marketable to little kids.

(Now let's see, when I was 5 years old would I have been interested in any musical act going back ...

Joe, thanks for pointing out the provenance of the piece. It's definitely one of my favorites (but wait until the 50th anniversary of I Want to Hold Your Hand and Meet the Beatles...)

It was a great audience of students aged 18-21 years old and they were very enthusiastic [of course there was free pizza, soda, and Beatle music, so maybe this had nothing to do with me].
