Hi,  I wondering if anyone knew of a book or possibly a website that lists the following information for each Beatles song . . .

1.  The total number of takes

2.  Which take eventually became the master recording

3.  Who actually wrote each song and the percentage of each band member (ex.  Help! – Lennon 80% McCartney 20%)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Mr Kite. Here are some ideas.

1 – The Complete Beatles Recording Sessions by Mark Lewisohn, or his Complete Beatles Chronicle.

2 – see above

3 – Lennon's version of events can be found in All We Are Saying by David Sheff, and McCartney's opinions are found in his official biog, Many Years From Now.

You do realise, though, that most of the information you're after can be found on this very website, don't you? Check out the songs index (http://www.beatlesbible.com/songs/) and choose a title.
