        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>First, I&#039;m not necessarily a fan of "songs" per se - songs as in "a set of music plus lyrics intended to be sung". I like records! recordings! performances! And 25 is far too few for "all time" - I&#039;m supposed to choose <em>0.625</em> songs for every <em>year</em> I&#039;ve been an avid listener?! Most of which will change anyways! Yeah, right...but whatever. Let&#039;s just say these are 25 songs that I&#039;d really, really love to hear right now or almost anytime. (And as usual in these non-Beatles-specific music lists, I&#039;m excluding all Beatles and solo-Beatle music, to be fair.)</p>

<p>On the other hand, even if it doesn&#039;t crack the top 10, I always thought <span style="color: #0000ff">"Summer&#039;s Day Song"</span> was under-rated to the extent that no one ever talks about it. It has a quasi religious or zen aspect to it. Very meditative in a beautiful way.</p>

<p>Hadn&#039;t thought of that one in a while.</p>
<p>I heard Chicago play that when they opened for (I think) Jethro Tull. That was their only hit at the time, and they played it for what seemed like 20 minutes. It was great; blew everyone away. Love that guitar.</p>
