So, I noticed that there's a topic for Beatles covers, but not for non-Beatles ones! Here we are, then.
Would anyone be so kind as to post one to kick things off?

Nirvana's The Man Who Sold The World. IMO the greatest cover.

Thanks mith! I'm taking it down but I'm going to work harder. I was a little disappointed with how that one came out now that I've watched it again.

I hope you like this video I made of John's Isolation from Plastic Ono Band.  This song has always moved me and I hope I stayed on the path that John intended for this song.

Thanks for watching!  I am really glad you like it.  It took me a couple weeks to learn it, but that was over 25 years ago!

It's not as hard as it might sound.  Basically, it's like 3 chords (D, A, G) with a few variations on each.  That opening figure (a D chord) has a bass line on the piano that just goes up one note at a time. The most complicated part is that little trill he does in the opening, before the break, and again at the end.

Do you play an instrument?

Me? Not really. I know how to play 2 or 3 songs in a piano and I know which key is A etc. I want to learn to play guitar but I have no time at all for a class, I can't figure out to learn by myself (and I'm pretty good at learning stuff without a teacher)

I've decided to show you all some of the covers I have done. I must warn you, my guitar (and my playing) is not very good, so watch at your own risk…

"White Album - My joint-fave Beatles album along with Revolver. They show the two sides of Beatles. Revolver's very controlled - even though it's also very innovative. The White Album's playful and almost ramshackle. It's like a scrapbook kept by a genius. Fantastic stuff."
