My first concert paid for with my own money was Cheap Trick with Eddie Money in 1988.  CT were enjoying their resurgence from the 'Lap Of Luxury' album.  I was in the 5th row and caught a pick from Rick Neilson.  No big deal, considering the number of picks he chucks out.  Still though...

The main problem they have is that it´s during term-time and at the Wembley Stadium in London, plus the price (65 quid per person, I think). They understand how important music is to me tho, and particularly Roger (or rather his lyrics), so I might be able to go, I think - I hope.

If you don't who they are...they were basically a tv show/music band based off The Beatles in 1960s.

Lets just say after that concert I stopped liking The Monkees and a few years later when I became a Beatles fan I despised them (The Monkees) because they didn't play their own instruments at first. Now I look back on the show/music as nostalgia of my childhood. My mom took me because I like the music and thought Davy cute, not knowing he was about 50 something then. Last show I saw? Week ago tonight. The Who in Boston. Daltrey sounded fantastic as did Pete*.

Oh... And Ringo Jr. ? Zack? Amazing. He has Father Ringo's timing but you can tell that it was Godfather Keith who taught him how to play. Ringo's perfection... Keith reckless abandon... one amazing drummer.
