I think it would be cool if it came to the US, I'm not much of a soccer fan, but it would still be fun with all of the people coming from all over the world.

One of the reasons why it wasn't given to the USA for the upcoming World Cups is that I think not *too* long ago, in 1994. Soccer (footie) does have a following, at least when the World Cup is on. I only got into it, myself, however, when I lived overseas.

I doubt the world cup will ever be in the United States. A majority of the people in the US don't give a damn about soccer (football.)

Is anyone going to be watching this? They're announcing who's going to be hosting the 2018 and 2022 World Cups. It starts at 1:45am here, so I'm going to be buggered at school tomorrow, but ah well, it's worth it. Australia, Qatar and the US are the three candidates for the 2022 one (South Korea and Japan are both going for it as well, but they got it in 2002, so I very much doubt they'll get it) and Belgium-Netherlands, England, Portugal-Spain and Russia are the four bids for the 2018 one.

I'm hoping that England get the 2018, and Australia ...
