CONFLICT ALERT: On Tuesday, as both a religious hockey fan and an avid soccer fan and patriot, I will have to keep track of NHL Free Agency starting as well as the USA’s knockout game against Belgium. Thankfully, free agency starts at noon and the game at 4, so the signings will’ve died down by then.

We went out for dinner with the whole family, for my grandma’s 85th Birthday . One of my cousins was a bit sneaky and watched it on his cellphone though. It was in a eh..wok restaurant, so it wasn’t that rude. Oh and there was a laptop near the kitchen, on which the employees could watch it and we sometimes stopped there to watch a bit too. So in the end I did see it. It’s amazing! I was running around there like a lunatic, I didn’t expect us to come back after that 1-0!
So now we have to wait to know whether we’ll be playing against Greece or Costa Rica next week.

Offline Greece v Costa Rica is one of the worst games of football i’ve ever seen. And at least another 15 minutes to go before the possibility of penalties to decide such a s&*~fest.

Very good! You guys were very strong on the ball! I thought you guys deserved it! As per Greece vs. Costa Rica, it was rubbish! If you asked me, Greece should have won. But I agree with MMM on the grounds that it was rubbish! Just like Brazil vs. Chile. Brazil was playing like crap! But I really am happy for Colombia’s win against Uruguay! This has been their best year ever, especially to defeat one of the big football teams. And they do have the advantage of being in better shape than Brazil. Holland is in better shape than Costa Rica as well.

Offline Costa Rica will be dangerous as they comfortably beat Uruguay, deservedly beat Italy and settled for a bore draw against England. The difference with the Greece game was that the Greeks sat back waiting for Costa Rice to go at them and that’s not how they play so it became atrocious viewing.

Yes – the cumulative heat will take its toll on the European teams which is part of the reason why no European team has won the World Cup in that part of the world (yet). It will be an amazing accomplishment if one of them manages it this time.

Offline Argentina have been bailed out by Messi a few times so Switerland have a chance of an upset if they can stop him or he has an off day. Admittedly that’s a big if.
Last nights match between Germany and Algeria was one of the best games i’ve seen in a long time.

Offline Bad luck for the USA in that final minute of normal time – he really should have buried it. Showed great spirit to fight to the end though.

Offline I hate that we won due to the penalties, but I’m glad we won nonetheless. I was very disappointed with how van Persie and Sneijder were playing. Our goalie did very well though, but it was a smart move to change him for Krul during the penalties. I think Costa Rica’s goalie was a monster too, man, what a guy! It was fun to watch. I think that if we play smart, we can easily beat Argentina too on Wednesday.
Only thing I always hate when we win is all these hooligans on the streets with fireworks and those vuvuzela things.
