I've heard a lot of people say Woman by JL is very Beatley, but I don't particularly see it. I can't imagine them ever having recorded it.

I'd have more trouble hearing it as a Beatles song if we didn't have Free as a Bird and Real Love as examples of a Beatlefied solo song.

For some reason I could hear "Riding into Vanity Fair" with Beatle background vocals.

I would add George's "What Is Life". If you took some of Phil Spector's production elements out of that song, I could see it fitting in on Rubber Soul.

I love that tune and you're right on with your assesment in my opinion.  I wonder... is there a pre-spector demo of that tune anywhere?  Something more raw?

A lot of Ram I can imagine very clearly with John and George's voices gracing the background in the harmonies, and have you ever listened to "Another Day" with good headphones?
