My cousin lives around your part of the world, in Manchester By The Sea, not a million miles away from Salem.

Ah, small world! I'm on the seacoast in Dover, but Manchester and Salem are about 45 minutes inland from me.

Well, to be more specific than 'Canadian', I am on the West Coast.  British Columbian snob right here. (j/k) a-hard-days-night-john-1

Which is funny, because this place is soooo German.  To the point that the local antique stores are quite literally busting with Nazi artifacts for sale.

I used to live in BC as well!  5 years in Comox,

I live in a small town 15 minutes from Florence, Tuscany, Italy. Everyone in my family has always lived here or in some town nearby, which is ...kind of boring, I suppose :D But I've never considered leaving this place.

I can think of worse places to be than 15 minutes from Florence. Lucky you!

Please don't spoil my day; I'm miles away

:D I know, when I said "boring" I wasn't referring to the place, but more to the fact that my ancestry is all concentrated in the same area.

I went there in the summer, for the second time. Absolutely fell in love with place (again!).

I am from Roscommon in the west of Ireland (The Republic, "Give Ireland Back to the Irish yak.yak). We are famous for having so many sheep we are known as the "sheep-shaggers". I live about an hour and a half away from Galway city, three hours from Dublin. Nothing Beatley-related with my area apart from John and Yoko owning an island apart an hour away in Co. Mayo which I visited a couple of months ago (it was going to be their retirement island) it is a bit of land and that's it, plus it's for sale (if anybody wants a stretch of land for $384000 )
