OfflineI am from a small town in the north of Sweden. (The only Swede here I guess?)
This town doesn't have that much to offer, but I can assure you that there are lots of mines, reindeers and some vast forests up here.
We're basically covered in snow for 6 months every year, and I guess to survive this climate you have to be really strong or really stupid, maybe both.

OfflineHi, this is my first post. (and first of all, I apologize for all the English "horrors" that I will surely make in this and in future posts…)
I'm Italian, born and raised in Venezuela, currently living in Panama, married to a brazilian guy that I met in France… So I really don't know how to answer the simple question "Where are you from?"
I've loved The Beatles all my life, spent (spend??)my teens in the 70´s totally in love with (young) Paul… and even if afterwards I expanded my musical horizons,
, The Beatles always remained my favorites.
In the past months my ten-years-old daughter "discovered" The Beatles, fell instantly in love with Paul (must run in the blood!), decided that their music was better than anything new, that compared to them The Jonas Brothers, Justin B and the others, were just sh—-.
So, we are watching together The Antology, I'm teaching her and her twin brother all the Beatles songs, and it's really great sharing that with my kids.
I found this wonderful site, and I thanked Joe for his hard work on it… It took me a little time to overcome my (English) shyness… but here I am.
Well, Hello everybody!

Oh God! Maybe it is? Maybe this whole "Swedish" thing is just a nasty experiment, and I actually live in Utah?
It's kind of hard to know when you're covered in snow…

Welcome, MissLizzy. No apologies needed on this site! We all speak "Beatlese" quite fluently.
I think it is incredibly cool that your kids are enjoying learning about the Beatles.

OfflineHello all,
Is anyone here from Chicago? I'm going there on business for a few days next month and could use a recommendation.
Where are the best places to watch live blues bands? I really enjoy live blues music and outside of St. Louis, I can't think of a better city in which to enjoy it.
Awaiting replies from those who know.
Thanks!

OfflineI saw that too, thanks.
I'd like to get responses from people who actually live(d) in Chicago, please. I'd rather get a recommendation from anyone who has actually been to a good blues bar there.
Anyone?
Here is my original post…

Hey Zig, not a native Chicagoan, but last time I was there me and my friends went to a dueling pianos bar in Wrigleyville which was a lot of fun. However we were all recently turned 21 year olds, so perhaps we have different perspectives here. But I'd bet you could go pretty much anywhere.

OfflineI would be from Chicago, Illinois! I don't know about any jazz clubs, but if you're coming to Chicago then you haft go to the Lincoln Park Zoo for suree, because it's a whole lot of fun and it's real esiting! And they got this big thing you get to climb in, kinda like those big colorful things at Chickie Cheese, only it's all nets. It's kinda dangerous though, because the last time I went in it I kept sliding into the sides and my legs got a whole lots of cuts on them from the wires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
