Scotland drew 1-1 with Iran in the 1978 World Cup Finals. That was the year Scotland went believing we would lift the world cup as part of Ally's Army. Amazingly we didnt.

I'll probably be less poetic then Mith, but here goes:
Probably 95% or Iranians are normal people. The problem is is that people like Ahmedinejad make Iran seem like this insane place, which I have to presume is false. People aren't inherently crazy because of their homelands. If they were, our lovely Mod (and all around great person) Mith couldn't post. I hope, hope and hope more that Iran can be free of a man no one wants.

Ahmadinejad doesn't seem like a very nice man, but who can blame him when his country is treated so badly by the West?

Aside from geographical facts and the quest for nuclear power, I don't know much about Iran.

Yes, it's a nice movie. It's about middle class of Iranian Society.

But it never was released in Iran.

I have no idea and I don't pretend to. To me, people are for what they are, not for where they live.

Edit : What I try to say is, coming from a country where people are considered fat lazy people sitting under a cacti with a huge Sombrero, (and now drug dealers) I don't stereotype other countries.

There are always negative or untrue portrayals of certain countries that are nowhere close to how they really are. Its the same for all, if not nearly all, countries.

My geography is terrible by the way, really really shockingly pathetic. I dont know a lot about Iran or many many other countries.
