The first CD I ever got (I'm too young to have bought cassettes or vinyl) was the soundtrack to Saturday Night Fever. I now shudder thinking I ever enjoyed such a thing. Disco is very much dead.

My first CD was Some Hearts by Carrie Underwood-  got it when I was 9. I wasn't a country fan, just a big fan of American Idol.

My first casettes were Revolver and part of the Blue Album . Though I hadn't purchased them, they had been stuffed in a box for 20+ years, just waiting to be discovered. 'Rescued' is a more fitting term…

I believe this was my first album in CD. If not, it was one of those Now That's What I Call Music CDs. I thought they were cool when they first started. Not so much anymore.

I then remember getting No Strings Attached by NSYNC, two Aaron Carter albums, File:Albumus.jpgImage Enlarger

, and File:3LW.jpgImage Enlarger
. This is what I loved between the ages of 5 and 10. I was so into pop music.

Then in November 2009, I bought my first Beatles album: Image Enlarger

and I have never looked back.

Well we all shine on like the moon, the stars, and the sun.

No idea if I've given my stuff yet, so my first was Beatles For Sale , my first vinyl was Wings Over America , and my first non Beatles CD was Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere (or at least I hope it was) by Neil Young.

How I got obsessed with Beatles, was when I was going to buy a christmas present for my mom, I thought she'd like the Pepper album, but, no.

She gave it to me later, so decided to just listen to it, and I was sold.

Well….I don't remember my first CD, but my first vinyl albums were Double Fantasy and Abbey Road . I don't have any cassettes.

I got a Rubber Soul CD for my third birthday from my aunt. Anything that wasn't a toy was tossed aside, and I forgot I even had it until I dicovered it with some old toys a few months ago. I hated it years ago; now it's my favorite album.blue-meanie

Oh, the joys of being a ’90s child. My brother and I absolutely wore that one out.

I think the first one I ever owned myself was Parachutes by Coldplay,  <img src="/forum/all-together-now-song/what-was-your-first-album/page-4/<img src="Image Enlarger

” alt=”” width=”400″ height=”400″ />” alt=”” /> It’s really quite lovely. I still adore it.

First Beatles album… I made a mixed CD with the songs, but the first album was a vinyl copy of Sgt. Pepper ‘s, even though I have no record playera-hard-days-night-ringo-12Oh and I got a vinyl copy of the White Album at the same time.

EDIT: why is it that I can never post pictures anymore? a-hard-days-night-ringo-7 I’ve been using photobucket but apparently “you can’t do that”

I've tried using the direct link and the forum link, and I end up seeing the picture I posted, an outline of a picture that won't show up, and a code that must be written for inserting a picture in the thread. Can you see the album art at all?

You can see the picture clearly, but it's got some sort of code thingy next to it.

The long play single cassette version edition of the Blue Album with Revolution and Back In The USSR switched places. My second was the weird Help ! cassette with the even weirder tracklisting where someone had completely rerganised the running order. Help ! still sounds strange to me not starting with I Need You .

My first album was Dynasty by Kiss. It was bought for me on CD by my Mum as I wanted a Kiss album and she bought me that one. I still have it to this day.

My first album was Parsley Sage Rosemary & Thyme. I still think it is some of the best music ever released.

-Bob Dylan, Subterranean Homesick Blues

"We could ride and surf together while our love would grow"

-Brian Wilson, Surfer Girl
