I'm listening to abbey road right now. I haven't heard beatles very much this month (mainly wings) so I decided I should listen to my favourite album of all times again

I've been re-listening to Abbey Road, too. I forgot how good it is. ahdn_ringo_09

I listen to at least one full Beatles album per day. I guess you could say I have way too much time on my hands :P

That's so spooky. I was listening to that all day yesterday. (Including John's version which I was dissapointed with.)

I love Johns version. The way it all builds up with the guitar then bass, piano, sax, drums and his vocal.a-hard-days-night-john-5

Just finished George Harrison:  EARLY TAKES Volume 1. There is nothing quite like a Beatle (or ex-Beatle) alone with an acoustic guitar.

Moving on to Living In The Material World.

At the moment, I'm listening to "Ten Cent Pistol" by The Black Keys; but by this time tomorrow, I shall be listening to Mumford and Sons' new album!!! *Well, shoot…there is not a Beatles emoticon in existence that is capable of accurately expressing my excitement!*

Oh I listened to John's version and I too, found it less than stellar. I immediately regret laughing a bit when I heard it. It wasn't terrible but well, I didn't enjoy his vocals too much.

I've been listening to Hard Day's Night. While I was marveling at Help!'s excellence, I have come to realize how good this really is. It's one of their better b-sides on an album in my opinion, especially because I really like 3 of the songs on it. I can only wonder why Ringo doesn't have a tune on it.

Please don't wake me, no don't shake me, leave me where I am, I'm only sleeping~.

Why – Tony Sheridan and The Beat Brothers. A fab little song.

This song makes me smile. ahdn_ringo_09Oh, cheesy grooviness of the 1960s, how I love you so!

What song is that, Dipsy? I can't see Youtubes at work!

Currently listening to "Helium Head (I Got A Love)" by Sir Lord Baltimore. Heavy!

"I Love My Shirt" by Donovan. In this video, he's actually collaborating with The Smothers Brothers because he was a guest on their show. ahdn_george_08 It's such a silly little song. a-hard-days-night-john-6

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8Definitely. If it weren't for Donovan, there's an incredibly high likelihood that I wouldn't have yet discovered the poetic genius that is Bob Dylan. And at this point in my musical journey, life without Bobby seems…dull. a-hard-days-night-john-4

So I would like to take this moment to thank Mr. Donovan Leitch for sparking my interest in folk music, which is what ultimately makes my little world go 'round. Love ya, brother! a-hard-days-night-ringo-15Have an apple for your contributions. apple01
