We are too. It's such a fun show to do, and I can't wait until we start practicing with a compleated set. It's taking quite a while though.

Bad from U2 is one of their best songs. Alas, my favorite U2 concert moment is this.

Helter Skelter – U2

“This song… Charles Manson stole it from the Beatles… we're stealing back”

Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……

Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…

Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.

Beware of Darkness…

This is better than the Beatles Version

Oh I love these U2 performances. These are great. Theres a special place in my heart for U2.

But this is what I'm listening to:

Tears I swear are in my eyes.

Well we all shine on like the moon, the stars, and the sun.

Bob Dylan – outtakes from The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan (trying to imagine how it would sound as a double album)

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Von, what would be a logical starting point for Dylan?

You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

I was always so afraid to say that and you people kill me…

It's like “Ziggy Stardust” by Bauhaus or “All along the Watchtower” by Jimi Hendrix: the cover is better than the original.

I'm hearing Hindu Love Gods. Incredibly manly version of “Raspberry Beret”.

I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.

I wouldn't say it's better….. but as good as the Beatles. I love the moment when the lights turn on at the end of “and I see you agaiiin”. It seems only yesterday when I played Rattle and Hum's movie again and again and I had my hair cut as Bono.

I'm listening to The Game has changed – Tron Legend – Daft Punk. One of the worst snubs for the Oscars. Their soundtrack is awesome.

Edit : Those Crazy Frog Boys video is amazing!! They look like my nephews a lot!

Go with the mono, it just has a slightly different sound, plus there are a few bonus pieces of music that pop up in Revolver and Pepper. Unless you want to spend your money on discovering some new music, then maybe go with something else. It's a tough choice, you know.

As for me I'm listening to pretty much polar opposites of each other, lots of Simon and Garfunkel plus I just got this new Lennon cd of demos called Wonsoponatime, but I have to balance that out by listening to some funky stuff, lots of Funkadelic recently.

If you're that much of a Beatles fan that you'd consider spending $whatever on the mono box just to hear alternative mixes of songs you most likely already have, then you should probably get it. If you don't see the point then don't bother.

Wonsaponatime is quite an old release – it came out in 1998, at the same time as the John Lennon Anthology (it's a highlights disc from the box set, with some songs edited for length). It's not a bad collection IIRC.

Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon
