One of the funniest stories ever set to music…

Low by David Bowie.

You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

The Dark Side of the Moon album for the first time in its entirety.

omg 0_0

why is this blowing my mind right now?

Because it's simply awesome.

I realize that now. It really is an awesome album. I realized that about about halfway through Speak To Me/Breath. stuart-sutcliffe

Tiny Dancer- Elton John

I seriously blame the movie Almost Famous for my love of this song.

Ooh, great movie! (If you overlook the fact that Clearwater sounded NOTHING like a 70s band! Too angsty and mopey, like Pearl Jam or something.)  Lester Bangs was a hero of mine, tho he'd already been dead a few years when I discovered his writing.

Love those early Charlie Daniels albums!  Too bad he later became such a right-wing dick, just like those rednecks in the Dew Drop Inn, ironically enough. (Never heard his "Easy Rider '88" re-recording, in which he's horrified to find that he's stumbled into a gay bar, and don't want to.) I'm glad he doesn't get any of my money when I buy his records in used-vinyl shops or steal 'em off the net.

Oh, current listening: The Bee Gees' Odessa

The Meters – Cissy Strut, quite simply the coolest song ever.

I'm listening Anthology albums… And I'm not really impressed (too much kitchen), I still prefer official versions of almost all the songs.

I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition. John Lennon

Damn The Torpedoes – Tom Petty. A friend was raving about it, but it's not really working for me. It's OK.

Please don't spoil my day; I'm miles away
