I was listening to Smells like team spirit with me mom on her tablet when the tablet got a mind of its own and switched the YouTube video to a greatist hits Cold play album which we are now listening toI’m just imagining what a song called “Smells Like Team Spirit” would sound like. It almost has me wanting to make a parody.
A few years ago, I was in some sort of gift shop with my parents. They had a display that said in large letters “Nirvana brand candles.” I picked a candle up, sniffed it, and with a straight face and without a second’s hesitation, I said “Hmm… smells like teen spirit.” It was so perfect.

Offline @Necko Have always been a fan of both Clapton and Winwood. Saw them together in concert at Madison Square Garden; had seen Winwood with Traffic in Rhode Island while in college; great musicians.
Right now really appreciating Mary Chapin Carpenter’s version of Lennon’s “Grow Old With Me .” That could have been a major success for Lennon on par with “Imagine ” IMO.

Offline Rumer’s “Slow.” I’d never heard of her before, and this gorgeous song features in a scene in a book I’m reading right now. It helps that she sounds eerily like one of my idols, Karen Carpenter.

Peggy Leg – Fever (thru itunes random).
Main reason why i post that is as it gives me the excuse to post the greatest video clip ever. When Animal pretends to be about to play but leaves out the first drum fill and then goes mental on them at the wrong point is one of the funniest things i’ve ever seen – and damn – those faces he can make.
