No.a-hard-days-night-paul-1paul-mccartney

I have a friend who went to see them live and said basically the same thing as you. When I first moved back to the States, they came around, but I wasn't settled enough to buy tickets or anything. They are on my list of bands to see before I get too old and feeble. They, Arctic Monkeys and The White Stripes.

"We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love." — Dr. Seuss

A great Piano song by Paul

A Change Is Gonna Come, the Otis Redding version. I absolutely love his voice.

Yes, awesome song! I feel like the Sam Cooke version is sort of fake, whereas Otis just goes for it, you can tell he really means it. That trumpet or whatever it is at the end always kind of shocks me because I'm just so hooked on Otis's voice.

I get what you mean. Like Otis just put so much of himself into the song more so than than Sam did. And then when he sings those first notes “I was born by the river…” literal shivers and goosebumps on the skin.

But now I'm listening to Desolation Row by Bob Dylan. I love the second verse and the guitar work.

Well we all shine on like the moon, the stars, and the sun.

Listening to a trio of “John and Yoko” songs: the famous one, one by David Peel, and “John and Yoko” by, uh, John and Yoko. (About which, nothing I can say besides “Uh…yeah.”

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I'm sorry to break this so late, but I just listened to this after coming to this page and I just cried A LOT. (to tell you the truth, I feel a little dead inside.)

Some of the Best Simpson's Beatles related comments:(in chroological order)

  1. Bart: 'Hey, who's the Mop-Top with the big Schnozz?!' __________________________________________________________________
  2. Homer: "Then came the greatest moment of my life"
George: "Hello Homer, I'm George Harrison"
Homer: "Oh my God! Where did you get that Brownie?!"  ___________________________________________________________________________
  3. Bart: "What did you do, screw up like the Beatles and say you were bigger than Jesus?"
Homer: "All the time. It was the title of our second album!" ___________________________________________________________________________
  4. Deprogrammer: "My greatest achievement was getting Paul McCartney out of Wings."
Homer: "You idiot! He was the most talented one!" ___________________________________________________________________________
  5. Paul and Linda McCartney guest star ('I read about you in history class!') ___________________________________________________________________________
  6. A mop falls on Lisa's head. Wiggum sees her and says "Yeah, right, mop top, and I'm Ed Sullivan." ___________________________________________________________________
  7. Springfield promotes itself as "birthplace of the Beatles". ___________________________________________________________________________
  8. In England, Homer says "our Beatles are better than your Rolling Stones".

Abbey Road . “Maxwell's Silver Hammer” in particular.

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

Currently drinking a cocktail I invented (rum & chocolate milk – yum!), watching the World Junior Hockey championship game (yay Canada! WE'RE NUMBER TWO! WE'RE NUMBER TWO!), and listening to the enjoyable Come And Get It : The Best of Apple Records which I have improved by artificially adding to it “Hey Jude “, which shoulda been included in the first place, for which I gave my well-reasoned arguments on the album's article itself:

/2010/08/05/apple-records-best-of-compilation-bonus-material/

(P.S. – Congratulations Russian juniors!)

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.
