I’ve just eaten three chunks of cold barbequed beef that my friend D. and I cooked yesterday –yummy. Smoking a pipe right now.

Offline I need to try these, @IveJustSeenAFaceo. They sound divine. My last food I ate was dinner about 6 hours ago which was a chicken and crouton salad with orange peppers, tomato and lettuce. Was amazing.

And it can be yummy.
Years ago you could get chocolate crisps in Scotland. When out with my brothers we came across them in Largs, bought a bag, tried them and promptly threw them away – they were revolting.
A common eating habit in Scotland (and probably everywhere elsewhere) is a packet of crisps followed by a bar of chocolate. That’s why we are so fit and healthy.
And talking of healthy we have a new deep-fried delicacy here in Scotland – the deep-fried snowball (and here).
