Co-incidentally more nutritious and tasty than most fast food chains and supermarket's cheapest basic value range.

You must be getting on, mja.

Had a Cadbury's fudge about 6 weeks ago, still 15p. Going by inflation and the last time i had one they should be about 40p.

This talk of coffee and candy is making me crave Tim Tams. I wish they were made here. I think I'd have to go to Cost Plus World Market to grab a package and that gets pricey.

Thanks. I guess if I like them I could always buy more later. If I don't like them, well I didn't spend that much. I found out last night we use to have a candy bar like the Curly Wurly called the "Marathon Bar" in 70s, but it was discounted in the early 80s.

I had a mainly '70s childhood, the 67 in my username is the year of birth! I remember the wonderful Terry Scott advertising Curly Wurlys...

  Funny advertisement. Thanks mja

The UK Marathon is what became Snickers, the US Marathon was their take on a Curly Wurly.

One of the bands on George Harrison's Dark Horse label was Jiva, whose lead singer was Michael Lanning, who later sang the "There's a hunger inside you..." chorus for Snickers in the '90s. See, it all ties back to the Beatles one way or another! a-hard-days-night-george-10
