Co-incidentally more nutritious and tasty than most fast food chains and supermarket’s cheapest basic value range.

MMM, thanks to you talking about Curly Wurly, I bought six bars (it came in a pack) on Amazon. Unfortunately, they won’t be for a month or so. On the bright side, I only paid $4.67 with free shipping. I hope to see what they are all about. :D

A curly-wurly used to cost 25p, prices have went up.

They used to be really long but are shorter now (same with all chocolate) sadly.

If you are like many those 6 bars will not last very long.

Enjoy.

I’ve never heard of Curly Wurly until now. You really do learn something new every day…

I can’t stand Curly Wurlies. They’d stuck in my teeth so much that I used to spend the rest of the day wishing I had a toothbrush on me, wanting to clean my teeth for half an hour.

Don’t want to put you off though, sky! I hope you find paying that much is worth it. :D

You must be getting on, mja.

Had a Cadbury’s fudge about 6 weeks ago, still 15p. Going by inflation and the last time i had one they should be about 40p.

Pumpkin spice fever has swept the nation again, and I’m having pumpkin spice chai from Trader Joe’s. It’s a just-add-water mix. I’ll save a few bucks not having to go to Starbucks.

This talk of coffee and candy is making me crave Tim Tams. I wish they were made here. I think I’d have to go to Cost Plus World Market to grab a package and that gets pricey.

Thanks. I guess if I like them I could always buy more later. If I don’t like them, well I didn’t spend that much. I found out last night we use to have a candy bar like the Curly Wurly called the “Marathon Bar” in 70s, but it was discounted in the early 80s.

I lost a tooth while eating a Marathon Bar at the movies. I lost the tooth in the dark theater. I cried so hard thinking that the tooth fairy wouldn’t come see me because I had lost the tooth. Mom and I wrote a note to her and left that under my pillow. It worked.heart

Is a Marathon bar what became the Snickers?

The UK Marathon is what became Snickers, the US Marathon was their take on a Curly Wurly.

One of the bands on George Harrison ‘s Dark Horse label was Jiva, whose lead singer was Michael Lanning, who later sang the “There’s a hunger inside you…” chorus for Snickers in the ’90s. See, it all ties back to the Beatles one way or another! a-hard-days-night-george-10

So the UK Curly-wurly was a US marathon which is not the UK marathon which became the US Snickers.

Oooooook.
