I watched Blade Runner this afternoon, which confirmed two things I remember: the visual are amazing but the story is thin.

The story is thin? A story about life, death, love, identity, and meeting one’s creator? Watch it again in five years.

My favourite of all time is Star Wars (duh). Only problem, similar to my Beatles problem, nobody that I know of has even heard of it. How unfortunate!

I just watched Hercules (the Dwayne Johnson one, not the Disney one) cause I am really into Greek Mythology. I really regret watching it. It was horrible. Too much bloodshed.

The Bollywood movies are really crappy and the music is just bad.

On paper, that sounds great. The execution is thin, especially in the characterizations. Trust me, I’ve watched it for many years.

Nobody around your place has even heard of Star Wars…what?!?! :O Even the people in my year at school (incorrectly) say “Luke I am your father” and know who Yoda is. a-hard-days-night-paul-10

This weekend I’ve watched back to the future 2. It was really awesome, now I really want to dress up on the 21st of October 2015.  And I want to watch BTTF 3, but I haven’t found the time yet…

For me it’s a touching masterpiece, but it’s not your cup of tea –let’s call the whole thing off…

BTTF 1 & 2 are brilliant films, two of the best i’ve seen, however for some reason i’ve never seen the third.

ahdn_paul_06 I watched that it was funny. I think it is a remake of a remake.

Was the original not from the 1950’s? Not sure about the second remake.

Edit:

Excerpt from wiki’s entry for ‘House of Wax (1953 film)

It is a remake of Warners’ Mystery of the Wax Museum (1933), without the comic relief featured in the earlier film, and was directed by André de Toth. In 2005, Warner Bros. distributed a new film called House of Wax, but its plot is very different from the one used in the two earlier films.

So the 1953 one is actually the second whereas i thought it was the first. The things you learn.

I saw that. Not sure how practical they will be tho considering “the boards require a copper or aluminum surface“. And i doubt folk will look as good as Michael J. Fox did when decked out in all their safety gear.

I’ve just seen The Brave One, a 2007 Neil Jordan film starring Jodie Foster and Naveen Andrews. Not a masterpiece, but a nice thriller. I recommend it to you guys.

I’m watching Snowpiercer after a friend linked to this article. It’s relentlessly dark, so I’m taking breaks Now And Then . But it’s so engrossing, it’s hard to look away.

I rewatched The Rocky Horror Picture Show (haven’t seen it in 3 years or so) it’s just as f*cked up as I remember it to be,  dammit Janet you dirty thing!

Debating whether or not to watch ‘Hair’ tonight.

I went to watch ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’ one Friday night years ago. Turned out to be an audience participation evening and one of the worst things i have ever attended; left after 15 minutes of folk shouting out lines from the film, generally not in the right places, and badly dressed actors dancing about in front of the screen blocking the lower part of it.
