I think I number 2 would have to go to Stevie Ray Vaughan. My mom lived only two miles away from where his helicopter crashed and she saw smoke the next morning rising up in the air

Good Dog Nigel. Arf, Arf, he goes, a merry sight. Our little hairy friend. Arf, Arf, upon the lampost bright, arfing around the bend. Nice dog! Goo boy, waggie tail and beg. Clever Nigel, jump for joy
Because we're putting you to sleep at three of the clock, Nigel.

John Lennon . I was 11 years old. Grew up on tattered Beatles' LPs. My Dad woke me and said “John Lennon has been shot”. Spent half the night watching TV trying to hide my tears.

I recall hearing about George's death. Had to pull over the car. Got out. Wiped the tears. Smoked a cigarette.a-hard-days-night-george-7
