OfflineThis working? Martha? Before I change, here's a list of instructions for when I'm human. One: Don't let me hurt anyone. We can't have that, but you know what humans are like. Two: Don't worry about the TARDIS, I'll put it on emergency power so they can't detect it, just let it hide away. Four: No… Wait a minute… Three: No getting involved in big historical events. Four: You. Don't let me abandon you. And five, very important, five, don't let me eat pears! I *hate* pears! John Smith is a character I made up, but I don't know that! I'll think I *am* him and he might do something *stupid* like eat a pear! In three months, I don't wanna wake up from being human and taste *that*! And six: Now I have to talk for around about a minute without hesitation, deviation, or whatever the other thing is, it's like that panel game on channel four like Rory just pointed out, *however*, I'm going to move on and say number *seven*, and talk about about my other favorite band which is the House Martins. I don't know if anyone remembers the House Martins but the best gig I ever been to was at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Center in about… December, it must've been… 1990, and the House Martins were playing, and it was quite simply the best I've ever been to. They split up quite soon afterwards, I don't know what that tells you about that particular event… I'm sitting in the TARDIS now, I'm and I'm gonna wind up soon, but not before I make a few strange noises with my mouth that will go somewhere along the lines of bingle-bongle dingle-dangle, lickety-do, lickety-da, ping-pong, lippy-tappy-too-tah. And twenty-three: If anything goes wrong… If they find us, Martha… Then you know what to do.

Alrighty then. It's pretty hard to derail that, eh?
My work here is done.
I wish there was a smiley gif of a face blinking blankly. What was that? I am confused! But that must have been a lot to type/come up with, so here ya go:

OfflineI'm having a Corona and popcorn.
Awesome combo I might say. About Dr. Who… I saw christopher Eccleston as the Doctor and he was good. I always wanted to see the series but never had an opportunity to do it.
BTW do you like to knit guys? I learned when I was a teen, and now I'm knitting again in order to relax myself. I'm doing this now. (the instructions are in Spanish though)

Speaking of Christopher Eccleston, did anyone see him play a fantastic John Lennon earlier this year on the drama 'Lennon Naked'? If you didn't, it's definitely worth a watch. It documents Lennon from 1964 onwards, with his relationship with his father, Brian Epstein, his first wife and Julian, and Yoko. It also shows the making of Two Virgins, Lennon's divorce, break-up with the Beatles, his primal therapy leading right up to when Joh and Yoko move to New York.
It's called Lennon Naked, and was broadcast on the BBC earlier this year. I'm sure you'll be able to find it somewhere.

OfflineI think that was shown in Aus last week, for the anniversary of his death. I only saw a bit of it, and I didn't think the acting was good at all, and they didn't really look or sound like them. But I only saw about 15 minutes of it, so I dunno.

OfflineSo my dad's reponse to the rioting in England over the obnoxious
tuition hike is: "They should get a job." We're both on the other side
of the pond, as it were, so I have to admit I really don't know too much
about what's going on with this, but even if the tuition is now "only"
$14,000 a year, I'd be damn pissed it in effect went up 300%. Since when
do prices like these ever go down?
We experienced the same thing
in California. We get all these notices about how our schools are
barely afloat, but they make all the low-levels take pay cuts and
"encourage" the professors and higher-ups to stay with raising their
pay.
I swear, sometimes I think I must have hatched from an egg.
I
want to find out more about this, and Joe mentioned it in another
thread that had nothing to do really with the tuition hikes, so I
thought I'd write here.

OfflineDid someone mention Doctor Who? It's filmed here in Cardiff (and in other parts of south Wales). I know a few people who have worked on it over the years. Not really interested myself, though we have a signed photo of David Tennant in our kitchen (Ellie's cousin used to work on Who and got it before she left).
I passed Matt Smith (the current Doctor) entering my workplace as I was leaving one night, and I've seen Russell T Davies a few times. Sadly I've yet to bump into Karen Gillan…

Wow, now this is what I call getting off topic! I think Ringo would be Luke, Paul would be…maybe Hans Solo and John would be Yoda to go along with George as Obi-Wan.
If the Beatles were characters in Forrest Gump, who would they be? Ringo would obviously be Lieutenant Dan and John could be himself.
I think Paul should be Han Solo and John can be Chewbacca, especially later on in his career.
Forrest Gump? Who the heck would be Bubba?
We could go all out on this. How about The Wizard of Oz?

Did you know they're making a Forrest Gump 2? I wonder what else there is to tell…
Wasn't there another book based on Forrest Gump's relationship with his son? That could be it, but I kinda think the time has paased for a new movie.
