I just finished a university-sponsored training session in a building across campus. A lot of snow fell in during that hour. I’m outta here.

Offline Another person has knocked on the backdoor while I’m all alone at home. This time I was nutella-ing some crisp bread when they knocked- I dropped to the ground and crawled across the floor to the safety of the hall. They waited for about 2 minutes and then knocked again louder.
I think they have left now.
I am scared.

Offline @Starr Shine? Because @Joe doesn’t want to, like, or enjoy having to ban anyone – so there are steps in discipline on the forum when it has to be used.
Firstly, if someone is being disruptive, as seen in another thread recently, polite requests will be made (sometimes publicly, sometimes privately, sometimes a combination of the two) asking them to stop creating the problems they’re responsible for. In most instances that works.
However, when ignored, especially if the behaviour is spoiling the enjoyment of the forum for many, a suspension of their posting rights for a period of time is a last way for Joe to remind that they need to respect the forum, and if unwilling to do so, he will ban them for the good of the forum.
A suspension is the last weapon in his armoury before, if someone continues to disrespect the forum and its members, he has to impose the ultimate sanction. It’s good that Joe does everything in his power to get someone to play by the rules before he regretfully has to decide that enough is enough.
