Owning up time. I have mistakely deleted the Beatles Dream thread – for this i apologise profusely. If anyone has this cached can they contact me thru PM and we will work on getting it back.If not i’m sorry for all that was lost. All i can say is bugger – and promise that nothing like this will happen again.
There’s not really an easy way of getting it back. The only options are:
- Roll back the database to before it was deleted, thus losing everything that was posted afterwards.
- Copy-and-paste everything from a web archive or cache, if one exists, but each post would have to be posted manually, and it would take forever reassigning each one to the correct person (mods are able to reassign posts).
TBH I don’t think it’s worth it.

@Joe. I dont know if you are joking or not but we did it – a brand new shiny reconstructed Beatles Dreams thread (obviously we didnt get old posters to come back and paste them in so there are a lot of posts in a row from Mr Kite, Parlance, Anna etc). 3 or 4 of the regulars folk here copied and pasted all but two of the posts in shifts back from caches which we went hunting for – the Reconstrction Notes thread details the course of events. The only reason two are missing is that no cached archive page has them.
It was something quite special to see people come together to get it done.

Offline Yeah, passed my Philosophy/Research exam. It was digital so you could see your score immediately, and at first I didn’t dare to click on it. To pass you needed an average of 67%, and I had 62.5% for the Philosophy part and 85% for the Research part. I was pleased, of course. Now I really have vacation with no school related stuff to worry about, and no retakes of any of this year’s exams next year. A friend of mine passed too, which she needed to, otherwise she couldn’t go through to the next year and would be kicked out. I’m very happy for her as well, she worked so hard.
Most people who did the retake today failed again, which surprised me, tbh.
