ASJ, how are you coming along on your Lennon and Linda McCartney projects?

I have formed my promotion review committee. I have 2 faculty members from the English and Foreign Languages department, 1 from Communications, 1 from Technology, and 1 from Education. They have to review my portfolio and give their recommendations to the library director by November 15th.

Hey, try to keep it off-topic you guys! Too much Beatles-talk on this thread.

Best wishes from down here - I had a Sociology major in one of my degrees and found it reasonably interesting.

Sorry, vonbontee, but I don't know what other thread to use for this question.

Do the Beatles have any songs that include them (or someone) whistling?

Two of Us has John whistling at the end.

Doesnt Paul whistle in Dance Tonight, some naff solo or other?

John's whistled in several songs: "Jealous Guy," "I'm Your Angel" off Yoko's portion of Double Fantasy, the Anthology 2 outtake of "Your Bird Can Sing" with Paul...

Gave both of them in a couple of weeks ago, will be getting Lennon project back when I return to school next week and the bitch who does business and who the Linda project was for said nothing. Another girl who put in less work/effort got "Excellent Shauna, brilliant work"... grrr!

Thanks, mmm and wetsroosa. I just listened to "Two of Us," "Your Bird Can Sing" outtake, and "Dance Tonight." Yep, you're both right; there's whistling in all of them. You Beatlemaniacs. heart There's so much going on in that outtake that it's hard to concentrate on any one thing. I'm getting Lennon cds for Christmas so I'll wait until then to have some of the other John whistling surprises.

Glad you've stuck around long enough for me to converse with you, Scoun.

I've been seeing all the posts about Pink Floyd. When I got my used copy of Ecce Cor Meum, there was a Pink Floyd disc in the cd case. The seller credited me, and I ordered another copy that came with the correct cd.
