No, the pathetic part is the fact you consider Ellen DeGeneres a comedian. She isn't. She's a talk show host, who occasionally makes a joke. You wouldn't consider someone who drives someone else's car because that person couldn't to be a chauffeur, would you? Or, if I parked really shitty, and my friend decided to fix my position, would you consider him a valet? No.

Actually she is a comedian! Well…she used to be at least. She started out as a stand up comedian in the 80's,which is how her show came about.

Try to realize it's all within yourself, no one else can make you change....

Spent £120 to fuel my Beatles passion. Mother is not impressed.

Spent £500 on this, plus another £150 on getting it framed. I didn't tell my mother.

It looks amazing, and is numbered and signed by Peter Blake. His works normally goes up in value so I see it as an investment (and something nice and Beatley to hang on the wall).

I'll tell my mom that, maybe then she will see £120 as a very small price.

Turned out she was planning to get me a Peter Blake print for my 40th, in four years' time. So she wasn't too happy about me spoiling the plan. She had a few qualms about the picture itself ("It's not exactly the nicest picture of the Beatles" – fair enough), but I told her I'd pay for it out of the earnings from this site. In the light of that it was quite an easy sell.

Glad to here it.

I think I'm in love with Denis Leary. I have spent about an hour watching old interviews of Leary's with Jon Stewart (which may have been the best hour of my life, just saying). He is such an awesome comedian.

This is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Dennis Leary and Lenny Clarke in the broadcast booth during a Red Sox game. The announcers, Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy were laughing so hard they couldn't speak. I normally watch sports with the sound down and the music cranked, but this night I did not. Thank God someone captured it on video.

Angry!!! I bought ''The Light That Has Lighted The World'' and ''All Things Must Pass'' on iTunes yesterday and when I went to listen to them today, you can´t hear them after a few seconds!

Sorry everybody, I just have to vent my anger somewhere.a-hard-days-night-ringo-6

You can e-mail iTunes and tell them those songs didn't download properly. That has happened to me before and they let me re-download them.

iTunes are generally very approachable and understanding so there shouldnt be a problem getting redownloads. I lost a whole load of songs when my laptop died a death and they allowed me to download them all again with just a note saying back them up this time.

Ok, thanks! I'm e-mailing them now. And meanmistermustard, why did you lose your songs when your laptop broke because mine just has so now I'm worried.

Something to do with the harddrive, motherboard or some other serious cause of laptop death. Just stopped working. All i had left musically was what was on cd's. I now have laptop insurance for the new one, a good thing because it keeps falling apart (damn Toshiba), and back everything up. 16 months old and its been in twice for major surgery.

My condolences – been having computer problems of my own, grr. But then, it IS a dinosaur from 2005. A dinosaur I burdened with like 10,000 mp3s, unfortunately.

My generation is fucked. I have zero doubt that we collectively are screwed.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8Is this an attempt at a new topic, Sun King, or are you simply referring to computer issues? I'm confused… a-hard-days-night-ringo-7

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 Totally new topic. It happens in this thread quite often. We're still fucked.

Anyone watching or seen the BMX Cycling at the Olympics? Riders and bikes flying all over the place. Incredible viewing; you sit there knowing that there is going to be a massive crash within the next 3 minutes.
