Or if you have been reading another thread, you might have read this as “Songs Everyone Should Listen To, Before They Dye”

Ahhh Girl, that was me who posted that corny gag about “Live And Let Dye.” I’m not sure I want to take credit for it, though. I actually hesitated before posting it, because it is so corny. (Hesitated a couple seconds, at least.) ;-)

Imagine trying to write a song that appealed to everyone on earth… all the different religions and philosophies… Hmm… the more I think about this, the more I Imagine that someone did try to write this song…

Sorry Bungalow Bob. I do remember you adding that to the conversation now. The meeting I’m in is dragging on and on, and I’m hungry for lunch. Please forgive.

If you are in a meeting why are you on BB? You really should be paying attention. Slacker!

Ahhh Girl, you’re not a member of the United States Congress, are you? If so, get back to work, please!

If “Imagine ” or “Give Peace A Chance ” were gonna change the world, they would’ve done so by now.

They changed my world.  heart

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been..  I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene..  Banjos!  Banjos!  All the time, I can't forget that tune..  and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

All ya’lla-hard-days-night-ringo-8, I need about one tenth of the information provided at these certain meetings. I listen for the stuff I need, don’t worry. Would you rather me fall asleep and start whispering sweet nothings to Paul where everyone can hear me?

Ahhh Girl, that just made me laugh out loud. Thank goodness I’m not in a meeting right now. ;-)

That’d be o.k. as long as I’m next to that Asylum & Sanitorium for Ex-Beatles that Funny Paper dreamed up…that, and I have a ladder.

Are you going to install it permanently? Maybe you can get a padded room next to one of The Beatles. Or maybe they can create a special section for the fans in the same building.

And HeyTrud, even though I’ve never had any particular love for “Here Today ” (or “Let it Be”, for that matter), I’m glad they give comfort to you!

(P.S. Hey, my sister’s in Edmonton right now! She’s visiting one of her former psychology students.)

Thanks, VonB!  Yes, especially “Here Today “…it’s special to me.

Your sister is coming at a good time!  Our temps are still in the double digits during the day, which for this time of year, is amazing!!  I hope she enjoys her stay in our crazy city :)

Ended up doing it on “A Day In The Life ” but right at the end I thought, bollocks I should have done it on “While My Guitar Gently Weeps ” ah well too late now :) I didn’t have enough time to read mine out but I’ll probably be doing it on Monday. My friend and I were the only people who chose a song that was released 10+ years ago, some person actually picked One Direction a-hard-days-night-paul-7 Good music is out there ya know….

In the end it was a toss up between “A Day In The Life “, Hendrix’s cover of “All Along The Watchtower” and Dylan’s “The Times They Are A Changin”, next talk is a writing about a speech you find moving. Really want to do it on Paul’s Hall of Fame speech (his imaginary letter to John) but should probably give the Beatles-thing a rest for a bit a-hard-days-night-george-10 Thinking of doing it on J.K Rowling’s farewell speech to the Potter fans at the premiere of the final Harry Potter film

 Great choice!

I took Music Appreciation my freshman year of college. One of our assignments was to bring one piece music modern music (1950ish +) and present it to the class. So, naturally I chose The Beatles and the song I chose was “Across The Universe “. Half way through the song I think, this girl says “He sounds weird. Did he take drugs?”.  I was angry because this was coming from a girl who brought in Taylor Swift and thought she was great. I started to stutter because even though they did take drugs, they were brilliant musicians/writers. Pulled myself together and said “Yes, they did take drugs, but this song was not about drugs. Whether or not they were on drugs when recording I do not know, but its not about drugs.” My teacher then diverted me to talking about the song more and the band because he doesn’t know much about The Beatles. I was happy two days later when I had the class again, another girl brought in The Beatles and it was “All My Loving “.
