A Lot of People seem to fans of theirs, so I thought this thread would be good. I haven't seen any Python to my knowledge but I saw John Cleese in Fawlty Towers and Boy is He funny.

I find Monty Python awesome. The knight getting his limbs hacked off is hilarious.

I've read that George Harrison  made a cameo apppearance in “The Life of Brian”. I've only seen the movie once a long time ago so I don't remember seeing him in it. I'll have to check it out again.

“The Holy Grail” is definitely in my top 10 movies of all time. Like most fans of Python I can practically recite the movie word-for-word.

Yep, he's in it but I believe he has no lines. I think he's introduced as Mr. Shapiro but I could be wrong. And of course Ringo appeared in one episode of MP'sFC, still my alltime favourite program. The Pythons revolutionized TV sketch-comedy just like the Beatles did the rock album, blending one sketch into the next just like the medleys on Abbey Road or SPLHCB .

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Oddly enough, my school did Monty Python as the play one year. Some very weird humor in there, but also quite clever and original.

I'm sorry to say I haven't seen much Monty Python, but my family is going to rent “The Life of Brian” sometime soon.

I think he also made a cameo in “The Rutles” as a reporter.

“Life of Brian” and their other movies are all fine (especially “Holy Grail”); but it's the TV series that was my real love – so anarchic, and they didn't have to worry about such unimportant aspects as “story” or “character”.

That's just one of the traits that made George my favorite. His incredible sense of humor.

I LOVE Monty Python! They're hilarious! Mr. Sun King , a good place to start are the movies with a “plot”: The Holy Grail and Life of Brian. Then watch the equally funny Meaning of Life. YouTube has thousands of clips from their TV show, Flying Circus. I recommend “Dead Parrot” and “Spam”, but they are all funny.

SPAM! I absolutely love that skit, mainly because I hate spam. I've always fancied the Self- Defense skit on Flying Circus. But definitely watch Flying Circus.

A good way to get into Monty Python is watching A Now For Something Completely Different. It' just a bunch of thier skits put into a movie for American audiences. Literal tears in my eyes the first time I saw it.

Holy Grail and Life of Brian are great. I loved Life of Brian because it became satirical of religion while still keeping its comedic charm. Plus, “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life” is just a great song.

I loved the Rutles as well. They were able to get Mick Jagger, Paul Simon, Ronnie Wood, Dan Ackyrnd, John Belushi, and of course our dear old George a-hard-days-night-george-10. Definitely a funny movie.

The Beatles + Monty Python = Pure Awesome

PennyLane: I also DON'T LIKE SPAM!!!

I've never seen And Now For Something Completely Different.

You should watch The Dirty Hungarian Phrasebook before you watch Spam, as the Hungarian makes a cameo.

I so love this: “Don't YOU want to play a pirate?” and the ending was the best part. The first time I saw it, it seriously caught me off guard!
