OfflineMaybe the first ten times I found them funny, but quickly it got old. I mean, how many times can you hear the phrase "I can has cheezburger?" Plus I have one somewhat annoying friend who likes to have all online conversations in Lolcatz speak, so maybe I'm just past my limit.

Actually, I don't think I find anything cute. Except *cough* the Beatles *cough*
I'm with you.
Yeah, I'm also with the people who can't stand the abuse of the English. Seriously, guys. It's not spelled "srsly guise." And what's with all the "Hai" for "Hi" and "Ju" for "You" and all the others?
I'm not ranting at anyone in particular, by the way. I'm ranting at the mistakes. ^^
mr. Sun king coming together said And yes, YouTube comments are stupid. But hilariously so.

OnlineEh, I don't mind all the misspellings myself, since the general conceit seems to be that the cats are only barely literate: it's enough of a feat for them to be able to communicate at all, that their spelling and grammar shouldn't be called into question. (But I'm a big hypocrite who gets irritated by people who spell "doughnut" without the u-g-h…at the same time as I'm intentionally misspelling "though" by leaving out those same three letters! Like it's supposed to make a difference that I'm doing it "intentionally", whatta hypocrite! Anyways, i suppose d-o-n-u-t has basically become the default spelling by now – 53 million google matches, 40 million more than "doughnut" – like that doesn't irritate me even more!)

What's the stupid, idiotic cat thing? I just thought we were supposed to post funny videos of cats…Cats are funny and they do funny things, like right now I'm basically wrestling with my cat who won't leave me and my meatball sub alone.
The stupid, idiotic cat thing is this; captions that make no sense added to photos of cats.
It's not so much that I don't like it, I just plain don't get it!

Can people get over the stupid idiotic cat thing?
No.
The comments section in I Can Has Cheezburger really does my head in, but some of the captions are cute. And yeah, who is going to expect a cat to spell correctly? They do well enough by typing in the first place.
Have you seen the Maru videos, Sun King? Those might be more your speed: real cat acting like a real cat and doing silly things caught on camera.

Haven't seen them no; however, I doubt I'd like them seeing as how I dislike cats period. (did I use the semi-colon right? It seems like I should get the answer fast with the Grammar Nazi army attacking Badgrammarland.)

That is acceptable, but you could do with a comma between "them" and "no".

I'm sorry for being an absolute pain, but there is one way to improve it. The semi-colon and the word "however" are both there to separate the two independent clauses, therefore it isn't necessary to use them both. The semi-colon is still being used in the correct context, and it's such a minor error that I wouldn't have mentioned it if you hadn't have asked!

That's what I get for being too lazy to delete the post when I realised my stupidity. Don't feel bad – I asked for it. And McLennonSon:
