Dear Prudence, I wouldn't dare desecrate such a relaxing and beautiful place as this with all those crazy aspects and emotions...I just wouldn't seek out a Beatles fan here. This a very comfortable sacred ground and I like it and all here too much to spoil something so good. I believe it is very wise to choose someone with the same interests as yourself, such as liking the same bands or music genres. But if the boy/girl doesn't like the Beatles or any other band that you like for that matter, that's okay, too. In the past, I have been in relationships with people who didn't even know who they were, but were fantastic partners.

Just don't be too picky.

I dated a girl pretty much for the sole purpose that she was a Beatles fan. It didnt go to well. Her name was Michelle too.

In Conclusion: Not all Beatles fans are awesome. But all awesome people are Beatles fans.

And it's fine--shared interests are what build strong relationships. And it's not strange that you want someone who loves what you love.

Nobody would think that it was weird if a soccer player only wanted to date athletes!

It's a major part of you're life – why shouldn't it be a factor? Personally, I'm not sure it would be a deal breaker for me, but he does need to have a great deal of patience. Great: he's a Beatles fan. Good: he has his own obsession (so he can't judge mine!).

(I hope I'm not double-posting a subject, but…) I've been a Beatles fan since I was 6–whole-heartedly. A few decades later I'm wondering–Is it o.k. to just want to date another Beatles fan? The guys I've dated in the past haven't been, maybe that help explains why things didn't pan out–maybe not sharing a love of the Beatles correlates with not sharing similar ideologies.
