Hey everybody, my real name is Mike. Born in New Jersey and still live in the state. I started to get into the Beatles when I was only six years old. My father turned on the TV and a clip of the Beatles from the Ed Sullivan show was on. Ever since then I began to listen to their music a grew to love it. To be true, I miss having music like this. Today it is all different with this pop music and hip hop. I miss the old times when rock dominated the music world. Now to get this out of the way, I am a hardcore Beatles fan. I am always celebrating an album anniversary, like on Nov. 22 With the Beatles turns 50 years old, or I'm either listening to them all the time. I will take breaks and listen to music similar, but I will never stop liking the Beatles. My favorite is Paul McCartney. I can play bass and guitar. I am still just learning piano, but I will get there. So that is me, and I am glad to be on the forum with you awesome people!

You will feel right at home here. a-hard-days-night-john-6 Glad you joined us.

I'm Neil.  I use vectisfabber because "vectis" is the Latin for the isle of Wight, where I'm from, and you can probably guess why "fabber."

I'm 61, and a Beatles fan since I saw them on Thank Your Lucky Stars when I was 11.  I'll state now that I find their solo careers comprehensively disappointing with occasional high spots.

Hooray for the 2nd BBC set, but whatever happened to Let It Be, the Esher demos, Hollywood Bowl, Antholgy 4….?

Right after Paul's archive series is concluded these will be out. Only another 39 or something of those to go so not too long to wait.a-hard-days-night-george-10

Seriously, there is word of a Beatles archive project in the works but no word what that actually is. It could be the US albums that are up on the UK and Japan Amazon sites and volume 3 of the Capitol Albums, it could be a revival of the the live Project that was announced before it quickly vanished, it could be some Let It Be project, or even out of left field. We just don't know.

Now that we have the BBC recordings remastered everything that was out available to buy in stores is now also on iTunes so its a kind of an ending with On Air of that aspect, hopefully now Apple will give us something to really be excited about.

"Well, probably we'll sell less records, less people'll go to see the film, we'll write less songs, and we'll all die of failure" (John Lennon 8/64)

Welcome aboard – my parents tell me we lived on the Isle of Wight when I was a baby / toddler in the late 50s.

Luckily I find their solo careers comprehensively exciting with the occasional low spot – which gives me a lot more to enjoy I suppose.  Though I do wish they had got back together to record in around 1977 – bit of a low spot for them all around then.

Joined last night. Found the website through google. I am reading the new book Tune In and was looking for a forum where it was being discussed.

I was born in 1962 in New Jersey. I think I discovered the Beatles when I was around 10 or so.

Compared to most Beatles fans I have run into in my life I think I'd give myself about an 8 in terms of Beatles trivia.

I come here, and after reading through many of the posts and threads …I feel like a 2! LOL

Glad to be here.

Well, if you feel like a 2, when I joined I was sitting at negative 275.23. Welcome to Beatles University. Glad you've enrolled on our lovely campus. I hope you earn all your class participation points by chiming in on many threads. Enjoy.

Hi my name's Faisa but people call me Fizzle I'm 18 living in London. I've always liked The Beatles was not obsessed then until a few months ago I listened to the whole of Magical Mystery Tour album my interest sparked then I literally became obsessed I feel so late getting into Beatlemania but I'm stuck into it and my friends are sick and tired of hearing it! I just love learning something new everyday and need to share my excitement with people on the same page as me. I never really had a role model in my life but George is now a huge inspiration of mine I just want to feel welcome with my Beatle obsessed self somewhere haha so I signed up anyone want to take me under their wing?

But if you want money for people with minds that hate... All I can tell you is brother you have to wait. Alright.

Bring it! I just adore that man like when I first got into them I loved Lennon but then when I begun learning more about George specifically he felt easier to relate to just watching his journey and personal development and what people had to say about him just fascinated me. he fascinates me in general. Personally think he doesn't get enough credit and is massively underrated but hey it's my opinion sorry haha I do feel strongly about Harrison went on abit… But thanks Katie I will take a look at the page making me feel welcome already!
