OfflineHi I'm Eric. I'm 15 and from Canada. I love the Beatles! I can't get enough of them! I discovered Beatles music from a friendband that is all I pretty much listen to. Ive also been buying original vinyl albums such as Rubber Soul, Sgt. Peppers, Let It Be, With The Beatles, Magical Mystery Tour as well as many of their solo works. It's great that I found this website. Now I can discuss with fellow Beatle fans. Look forwad to using the site!

OfflineOh yes indeed. I was listening to Good evening New York City and I remembered the concert. It's a good way to relax when you have a lot of work and stress.

OfflineHey guys and gals,
I've been lurking here for a few months and finally decided to take the plunge and register. I've enjoyed this site tremendously (Thank you, Joe, for the tremendous amount of work and time you've obviously put into this great site). I've always liked The Beatles but I haven't really had a true apprecation of them until I bought the remastered stereo set (I was five years old when they broke up). Now I find myself listening to them about half of the time that I listen to music! I'm trying to get my kids to listen to them, but they like the Across The Universe and Glee (Ugh!) versions better. I was lucky enough (and willing to buy the rather expensive tickets) to see The Beatles Love show in Las Vegas a few weeks ago. WOW! What a show. Aside from the incredible Beatles music, George Martin is a genius. Listening to the soundtrack is almost like discovering a new Beatles album. Anyways, looking forward to chatting!

Welcome! I'm a newbie here, too. Aren't the remasters something else?! Compared to the earlier CD releases (even the Dr. Ebbetts stuff), it's like a layer of murk has been removed; like seeing a painting that's had years of grime wiped off to restore the vividness of the colors.
My wife and I were raised on 60s/70s music and now we've got a daughter who's a Beatles fan. Well, she's a fan BUT she'll skip some songs on the CDs, like Rain and The Inner Light. (She gets such a cavalier attitude from her mother, who brazenly skips nearly EVERY Ringo song……some people just don't get it, do they?? *smiles!*) Still, my heart soars when I hear The Kid playing Beatles on the guitar or piano…..self-taught, like her ol' man.
George Martin is a genius, no doubt, and has always had my vote as "The Fifth Beatle." Glad the Love show was good: it looks pretty wild all right from what little I've seen of it…..
Anyway--welcome aboard!

Interestingly enough, I have always listened to 60s/70s music even though much of my teens was in the eighties, and that could be considered "my" decade. Partly because I had older brothers and an older sister, no doubt. But I've always felt that music from that era in general is better than what came after. Although I like a lot of later and even current music as well.

Isn't it wonderful to hear your daughter singing Beatle songs! No matter what problems I might have, when I hear my daughter singing and playing music--especially Beatles--my mind is carefree…..have a nice weekend!

OfflineHello everyone.
My name is Joey and I'm almost 15 (will turn it on the 29th). I have always liked The Beatles, but only got very into them around a year ago.
I play the drums, and Ringo is definitely one of my favorite drummers to cover (in addition to Mitch Mitchell and John Bonham).
My favorite Beatles songs are "Strawberry Fields Forever", "I'm So Tired", and "Here, There, and Everywhere". My favorite albums are Revolver and Abbey Road.
I found this website a few months back, and have always read the forum discussions, and the pages about songs, albums, etc. I even used the multi-track Beatles songs Joe posted (much obliged!).
Anyway, you'll discover I'm a very nice guy, but I've been told I have a low tolerance for bull$hit (are we allowed to curse on here), so I apologize if I get a little aggressive once in a while.
Finally,
.
Yeah.
