I've seen this photo of the boys so many times before and am guessing it was taken in 1964. I just noticed that it's an outdated flag. The flag in this photo has 48 stars so it's "pre" Alaska and Hawaii which were both admitted into the union in 1959.
Who cares? It's the Beatles.
Agreed, it was just an observation on something I've seen before but never noticed. Please forgive me for getting distracted.

Well for me that trivia is interesting. As a teacher you need to find ways to sneak the Beatles in your classes, and why not with some American history stuff??

Why not? I always try to do weird stuff in class.
I showed a video of the infamous Barbie Girl song to remember the present of be. "I'm a Barbie girl, in a barbie world.. life in plastic.. it's fantastic. .. You're my doll rock and roll… " All the students ROFLMAO in class.

I interviewed that band (Aqua) once. They were part of some package pop tour in 1998 that also featured a very young N'Sync and a load of other people who have since been forgotten. I was the music editor of my university newspaper at the time – we covered all the important stories.
