Someone set off fireworks in Cardiff! They were small and pretty amateur, but I saw two!
It totally made my night, haha. I felt sort of silly when I gasped/sounded like I was choking and all the people round for a bbq laughed at me…but I didn't think I'd see any today and was bummed. I love fireworks.

Right now in my city if someone sets fireworks everybody would say "cover yourself!!"
Anyway Happy 4th of July!!! Mexican TV is celebrating showing Independence Day with Will Smith. The guy who chooses the movies to be shown is a genius…

Not good – when we got to the stables that morning, our boy had a gimpy leg. No need for Vitamin L (lead), thank God. But, he was not fit to ride. It's a shame too, because this would have been his first show. Anyway, he seems to being doing better day by day and will be fit to ride soon.
Funny story – while at the show, there was feedback during one of the announcements. I immediately broke into song with I Feel Fine.

Too bad about your horse Zig.. I hope he gets totally recover soon. I have never ridden horses and I always wanted to. A disadvantage of being a city girl. And that of I feel fine is quite funny!

I've seen this photo of the boys so many times before and am guessing it was taken in 1964. I just noticed that it's an outdated flag. The flag in this photo has 48 stars so it's "pre" Alaska and Hawaii which were both admitted into the union in 1959.
