So now I’d really like to know all your Christmas plans, people of the Beatlesbible.

Glad to hear things are on the up and up – we have had one of those awful summer flu things down here, I’ve managed to avoid it so far luckily.

Complicated Christmas here with me splitting up with you-know-who and all, so my brother is coming down from Brisbane but has to stay in a motel as my (3 months to the divorce) ex has decided he is an ‘evil man’ and not allowed in the house. So, planning on a quiet time if that is possible and just spend some time with my kids and brother.

Oh God I’m sorry to hear that. That’s mad! But what will your ex be doing? Will she be there too? Doesn’t sound too pleasant, I hope you’ll be able to make it a nice couple of days anyway.

MMM: Will they be there early? Then you could start cooking early. Maybe you can do a few things the day before.

To the rest: Sucks that you have exams that soon after the break. Try to enjoy your break. Vacation can be used to do (home)work, but it’s also a time to rest and relax, and to spend time having fun. Don’t forget that.

@trcanberra, has you-know-who found a place to live once the divorce has gone through?

@Linde, expecting them to arrive about 1pm. The turkey is now getting cooked by a proper chef as its too big for our oven so that is a great 5k load off my mind. The sausage rolls i’ll make on Tuesday, oh i forgot mince pies – darn, need to do thosea-hard-days-night-paul-7. The longest time will be spent peeling vegetables, everything else should be routine and there will be assistants and helpers so its not too bad.*

*Expect a post at night time on the 25th bitching about how badly it all went.

I’m not sure where everyone will end up – it all depends on selling the other house we have and whether or not the bank forces us to sell our residential place. I’ll keep you posted if any major developments happen any time soon.

And @Linde re; “Oh God I’m sorry to hear that. That’s mad! But what will your ex be doing? Will she be there too?” – no idea, it could be a crazy couple of days. She has been cooking for something, I have no idea what, and has stuff frozen – I’m wondering whether to be nice and remind her to defrost the big stuff soon or just leave it to God tell her.

PS  Trouble is, if I DO remind her she will decide it was God telling me to do it. So I don’t want to, but I also don’t want to be nasty if I can help it.

This all sounds like a bad TV show :)

So now I’d really like to know all your Christmas plans, people of the Beatlesbible.

Glad to hear you are feeling better!

This past weekend was spent in Upstate NY for the holiday visits with family. On Christmas day, my Zister-in-law and her family are having dinner with us at our house. After that, it will be three days off with nothing planned but relaxing. We can’t wait!

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I’m at my mom’s house for the Christmas break. I just went to her chiropractor’s office. Mom had told me how wonderful this lady is at her craft. Yeah, I second that opinion now. And I got a massage from her massage therapist. Ahhhhhhh. I set another appointment for next week.

Some people asked me to share my final After Effects project once I finished, so here it is! The assignment was to do a 1-2 minute music video. I chose to create an animated lyric video for Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass”:

Vimeo link

And YouTube link (not available in the US)

I know some people are sick of the song, but hopefully you’ll enjoy the video all the same. :-D Feel free to like, comment, etc.

It’s not available in my country, unfortunately! Is there a way I can watch it somewhere?

Went to get the booze for Christmas today. Different kinds of wine. The drinks are half the fun.

Thanks, Zig!

@Linde, can you confirm that neither link works for you? If so, I’ll post elsewhere.

Very good parlance, I was hoping at the end you’d have something like this:

Maybe with the Wacky A instead of the horse…

Haha, one of my friends thought the end was pretty psychedelic as it was.

Yes it’s me!

This week was absolutely terrible. Something bad that has affected my parents, brother and grandma has happened and that’s why I wasn’t on here. And my internship went pretty bad too this week. Now things are looking up again and I’m glad to have spent some time with my friends and I’m looking forward to Christmas and this two week break.

I got better too. I was too stubborn to go see a doctor and told my mom I’d be fine without anything so I just took a few throat sweets, had some rest and now I’m fine! There’s a flu epedemic going on here though.

Glad to hear that things are getting better.

I’ve noticed the flu epidemic ahdn_paul_01I am currently sick, in the holidays…

We didn’t celebrate Sinterklaas on the fifth (because my dad wasn’t there and I was having many tests that week) so we’ll be having a mix of Sinterklaas/Kerstmis (met pepernoten!) So that’ll be fun. That’s about it.
