So I will start! Has anyone seen "The Social Network"? I have! Opening night! IT was Ridiculously amazing! Although i do not have a facebook. I just dont want one social networking is not for me. Im a microblogger.

Dinner For Shmucks was incredibly funny. Not to mention it starts (and possibly ends) with The Fool On The Hill. my whole family went to see it and when the song played everyone looked at me. but ya the movie is extremely funny and I cant wait for it to come out on DVD <3

I saw "Capote" (2005) and "Infamous" (2006) both of them about Truman Capote writing "In cold blood". I love Philip Seymour Hoffman acting in the first mentioned film, and utterly hated the second one, specially Daniel Craig and Sandra Bullock, two superstars with no acting skills at all.

I just watched Ridley Scott's Robin Hood. Not that good, but Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett chemistry was nice. 
I'll watch In Bruges before going to bed.

Yes I loved that they played fool on the hill as well! And it was funny! Did I mention that The Social Network plays baby you're a rich man at the end?

I'm hopeless at seeing films. The last time I was in a cinema was in April (Kick Ass; it was my birthday and there was nothing else showing). I watch about four or five films a year, mainly because I don't have the time/inclination to set aside a couple of hours to sit still.
We have a running joke in our house. "Ooh, [x film] looks good. Shall we not see it?", because every time we see an ad for something that looks tempting we know we'll never get round to watching it. I think Inception was the last one of those, or maybe The Girl Who Played With Fire. We joined a DVD rental thing once and ended up getting charged loads for one film that sat underneath our TV for months.
Anyway, that's probably all I'll be able to contribute to this thread. I know people who plough through dozens of films each month, but I never understand how they find the time. Plus, most Hollywood films seem to be really, really crap. (My favourite film is either Delicatessen or Play It Again Sam, FWIW.)

I saw inception recently, I quite liked it, makes you think. I also liked Easy A, not sure how many countries that played in though.

I just saw last night In Bruges. It was an excellent film. Funny, interesting, and heartbreaking. The story was well written, and IMHO Colin Farrell's best performance I've seen of him so far. And Ciaran Hinds in a cameo ..*sighs*
And there's a Beatle moment on it : Colin's character beats up the hell of an "American" guy telling him "And this is because of John Lennon!!" 
About Inception, it was excellent, and although I don't like Leo DiCaprio at all, he was very good on it. Let's see if the movie is still good in 4 years, it can be a classic.
BTW I can relate with you Joe about renting movies and not watching them. I used to rent movies and everybody but me would watch them. That's why I stopped renting.
But if you want to see a good hitman story, (not Matthew Vaughn's type though) then In Bruges is for you.

In Bruges has to be the oddest movie I've ever seen, it makes almost no sense but it is pretty entertaining. But then again, what can we really expect from Colin Farrell?
I'm with Joe in that I don't watch too many movies anymore, the last good one I saw was A Single Man, it was about this guy who plans to kill himself that day, so it just shows everything from his last day in great detail because this will be the last time he's seeing whatever he's seeing. Harry Potter comes out next month I think and I can't imagine I'm the only Harry Potter nerd on this forum.

Really??? I thought the writing was brilliant!! Yeah it's very weird.. but I found it fascinating and the script was in my opinion one of the best I've seen on the screen lately.
Oh I'm a Harry Potter kind-of-nerd (meaning I've read all the books and I have all the movies, and I love Alan Rickman and I think Severus Snape is the real hero of the series, but that's all) but to be honest, I'm not that crazy for the final movies. The last book wasn't that good. The only good part was A Prince's Tale chapter. *snif snif*. But I like Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort, he's really menacing. Anyway I'm not watching trailers or any photos, I want to go to see that one without knowing what I'm going to see.
And yeah, now I think about it, I don't watch too many movies anymore. I prefer European ones to American ones. I used to watch everyday a film in TCM (Turner Classic Entertainment) but my cable system took it off

Now that I think about it I did enjoy it, I think that midget just threw me off.
You didn't think the last book was good? There were a few parts that I didn't like in the middle, but other than that I thought it was pretty fantastic. It was definitely different from the others in the series because they weren't in school and people actually, you know, died, but I thought it was incredibly entertaining. You're right, A Prince's Tale was easily the best chapter, probably the best chapter in the entire series and I really hope that the movie can do justice to Snape because at the end of it all he probably was the real hero of the series.

My wife and I haven't set foot in a movie theater in almost 10 years because people generally ruin the experience – talking on cell phones, etc.. – so we really don't keep up on the current ones.
Having said that my all time favorites are Grosse Pointe Blank, Waking Ned Divine and The Castle. All 3 are incredibly funny and I could watch them over and over again.

I didn't like the final fight between Harry and Voldemort. And maybe I read it too fast but I didn't enjoy it much. I didn't mind not having them in the school (it was nice) but again, there were some things that turned me off. I need to read it again though.
And yeah, Snape totally rules. Being played by Alan Rickman doesn't hurt either.
And speaking of movies.. I just seen this. I dunno what's worst : The shorts in Dane Cook, Dane Cook (who the hell is he?) taking the place of John, Jessica Alba as Yoko, runing an iconic picture, or the lousy photoshop work. Horrible horrible horrible. I just hate Hollywood.

I'm pretty sure Skye's a big Harry Potter fan, so you're not alone.
I have seen In Bruges, actually. I quite enjoyed it. Looks like a lovely place to visit too, hitmen notwithstanding.
