The School of Art, an iconic historical building in Glasgow, is on fire and has been since around 12:30pm today. No one trapped inside or hurt but it is A-listed designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh and holds some major works of art.

Uff, so sad. Weird thing is that I could understand how he felt, but should not have killed them. I have been played by some girls and disliked by popular people, but you got to take it out more gentler. Violence is not an answer.

Horrific. Such a waste of life.
No doubt there will be an outcry over the use, supply and licensing of firearms of which politicians will mumble some token remarks of ensuring this never happens again before the NRA and its supporters cough and nothing changes. Repeat ad nausea whilst more lives are needlessly destroyed.

It’s less the guns and more the news and how everything in the news is always negativity. If there was more positivity in culture then their would be less of this. And if killers didn’t get famous and even glorified by some people like with Columbine

There is actually less crime in the US than a decade ago. The news just reports more of it now a days which is why we should bring attention to positive news over negative news.

If there were more restrictions on who and how folk buy guns and ammunition then the number of the shootings in the US would reduce. But you’d be pissing off a lot of folk who make money out of it and who have influence on the government and its part of the constitution so cant touch that or youre denying people their rights.
And the news is not always negative, there are far more negative stories in the news but there are positive ones in there as well, its not all death and destruction.

Offline So you do nothing and let such tragedies continue to occur ?
At the very least make it more difficult for folk to get access to firearms and ammunition than the current process which clearly isn’t working. You wont stop every shooting from ever happening but you can control things better (you could argue that any law passed wouldn’t have stopped the latest one happening – and lets not lose sight of the three people killed by being stabbed by a knife).
I dont want this thread to become a gun debate so i will stop here.
