Thanks. Here are the lyrics:

Not too many people know what goes on
Not too many people can tell you what's wrong
And not a lot of people know you're missing the time of your lives
But lonely days would go forever if we'd listened to your lies

There's days that go and ways we show what happens inside
But without a final answer you know I'll lose my mind

We're all well aware of when we play the blues
We're all well aware that all of this is old news
But all of them'll tell you the only way to move is on
And when a hope is broken they'll regret it when they're gone

Chorus

To dream and to know is something that's all in your head
When dreaming for someone else is against everything they said
They know there's not a lot of ways out when their ambition is crumbling down
You should know that they won't listen the moment they come round

Everyone says that your dream will come true if you try so hard
But I know that's a lie, a lie that's caught me off-guard
For I've tried and I've tried and I've tried to get one sweet dream to come true
And when the dream is something wrong you can't even try to be you

Break

They say that it's straightforward when you know you aren't screwed
But I've screwed up already and I know I'll never get you
This whole thing's gone on far too long and people think they're above
But listen to my story and maybe I'll have a dream of love.

I'm writing a 60s-inspired song. Strangely, it's not even Beatles-style – but it's synonymous with the sorts they loved and often covered. It's sort-of rock'n'roll, sort-of country and sort-of skiffle. It's got quite a few complex and fast lines in it too which are really fun to sing.

Halfway done, more or less. Just need to add a couple more verses and decide some other elements, then I can record.

Finished Concrete and Cobblestone! It's kind of a blues-y song, with some rock'n'roll inspirations.

@MrMoonlight I remember you saying you finished Revolver, but it didn't save. Did you post the lyrics?

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.

Unfortunately not, no. I made them up as I went along for that one, I'm ashamed to admit.

If they were good ad-libbed then you should be proud not ashamed. That sucks. Good luck with it when you get back to it.

I think I have a good musical beginning for Rubber Soul, but I can't think of lyrics.

Sorry If I haven't uploaded ''If I'm Gone'', I was on my last weeks of school with lots of homeworks and final exams and I had some sort of a breakdown because I seemingly failed in one that I might need to do another exam to see if I can pass this course and not repeat a semester. I'll try to write down the song via a music notation software and record my vocals over it, so you can judge if you like the song. I'll try to not delay as long as I did before this sort-of announcement.

Good luck with the school stuff! I'm sure we don't mind waiting if you still have an exam.

Only one left, but it is not as hard as the others were, so I can dedicate a little time to write down the song on the software. a-hard-days-night-george-10

I'm gonna try and write a music hall song, like Honey Pie or When I'm Sixty Four. I love the instrumentations on those.

Me too! It's absolutely brilliant to use music hall on a simple song like When I'm Sixty Four!

Ugh, I've got writer's block. All the lyrics that come out just seem a bit… off. It really, really triggers my anxiety, and it's been annoying me all night.

I've got a song idea, entitled The Truth, with a similar sort of message to John's Working Class Hero.

It's just an idea at the moment. It's going to be kind of orchestral-inspired, with some folk mixed in there.
