I prefer the books, of course, but I still loved the movie. If you love Snape, you'll love it. I very nearly cried during the Prince's Tale, and I NEVER cry during movies (except for when Mufasa dies).
I think the books were at their most brilliant at the end. Snape and Dumbledore's characters became a lot more human, as well as Neville and McGonagall. Plus Harry wasn't as angsty as he was in Order of the Phoenix, which helps.

1. Bahahahaha
2. I agree. I mean, the themes were introduced during the early books, but they were carried out in the later ones. I was kind of POd when you said they got rid of Ariana. She really did make Dumbledore's character more believable.
3. Fun Game to Play When Reading Order of the Phoenix: Count the number of times it says "Harry start(s)(ed) shouting."

OfflineI just saw it, and I think this might have been the best movie. The Prince's Tale was INCREDIBLY well done, the scene with Aberforth was emotional, and I loved McGonagall. I agree with Paulrus on Molly's line, but it was very well done. I actually like the 19 years after.

After Deathly Hallows, who doesn't love Snape?
I've probably posted in this thread before that I'm not interested in seeing these pale imitations any more. The "it all ends" thing is really annoying me- it all ended several years ago.

OfflineI absolutely loved the movie. I cried in this one. The Prince's Tale was anything but brilliant from Alan Rickman. Servus Snape reached hero status after seeing the movie. I loved it despite all the errors.
I will cherish my Harry Potter 3D glasses. I look cool in them

OfflineI just saw it and it was a very well done movie and a fitting ending to the series. The Battle of Hogwarts was exciting and I'm sure heartbreaking for many books fans. What I cared for was done brilliantly : The Prince's Tale, Snape's death and the epilogue. Daniel saying the "you were named for two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew." line was very moving.
And I wanna try a drinking game, for every time the brilliant and frightening Ralph Fiennes says "Harry Potter", I'll have a tequila shot!! LOL!! I'm gonna get soo drunk when this movie gets released on DVD…
Edit : And Alan Rickman is my hero since I saw him in this scene..

Mith, you are giving very bad ideas to underaged American minors… Do it with all eight movies and by movie 5, you are on the floor. Sounds like fun!

What Paulrus said.
(SPOILER ALERT) Also, I don't get why Voldemort and Bellatrix turned into confetti. My mom was really mad because Bellatrix's death was supposed to mirror Sirius'. (/SPOILER ALERT)
But we'll definitely be getting it on DVD.

OnlineI havent seen or read 1 minute of Harry Potter ever. Couldnt tell you anything about the books or films and would find it difficult to list 5 characters in the series or 5 actors whove been in the films (i know Daniel Radcliffe, Robbie Coltrane, Zoe Wannamaker and possibly Ian McKellen but that might be wrong. Was he in Lord of The Rings? I really dont care.). Its cool that people love it, its just never caught my interest.

OfflineI love Harry Potter! I've read all books and seen all films. While I prefer the books, I really love the films. The effects and everything are just great.
I'm planning on doing a movie marathon with HP films, since it's been so long since I've seen them. Can't pick a favourite but 2 and 4 are my least favourites.

OfflineThere is at least one Harry Potter fan in every class room I visit lol. These are somewhat the statistics I see.
"When I was a robber *Piano Chord* in Boston Place"
"Let's hope this turns out pretty darn good huh"
"Pete may be the best, but Ringo is the star"
Paul:"Don't be nervous John"
John:"I 'm not"

Haha![]()
Anyways, I use to love Harry Potter as much I did The Beatles back in high school; however, that has died down. I think its because all the books and movies have been released, so I have nothing to look forward to except maybe going to England or The Wizarding World in Florida. I still love it though. I've have read all the books and seen all the movies. My favorite books are the 4th, 6th, & 7th ones and I despise the 5th one. Do not get me wrong it has good information, but it was too long to read. I love the first three and the finial two movies.
^Yay Matthew is a Beatles fan (video posted above)!![]()
