I suppose so, when we were in Pre-Elementary, they taught English as a second language, don't remember exactly how though. Now I am studying in a University, they still teach English, focusing on sentence structures, creative writing, organisation of thoughts and etc. It's not that important as long as you can express your thoughts concisely.

As long as what you say out loud sounds good, it should have the correct Grammar.

You just alternate between them. So you'd go back to double quotation marks as follows:

"He said, 'she said, "blah blah blah." Blah blah.'"

So, awhile ago, I posted something about starting a grammar thread. Here it is, the place for all of your grammar questions and comments.

I have a question myself. Say I'm reading a book/article/whatever and it says this:

Blah blah blah blah. He said, "She said, 'Blah blah blah.' Blah blah." Blah blah blah blah blah.

I need to quote the part in blue. I write, "He said, 'She said, ?Blah blah blah.? Blah blah.'"

What punctuation do I use where the ?s are?
