I've always liked People Are Strange.

The Doors is one of my favorite bands. Psychadelic Blues Rock in its finest.

The Doors first album, The Doors, is absolutely amazing. Along with Sgt. Pepper 's, it was the soundtrack of the summer of 1967. Jim Morrsion is a great showman. The whole band is great.

L.A. Woman , Love Me Two Times, People Are Strange, Light My Fire, Soul Kitchen, Roadhouse Blues, Alabama Song (Whiskey Bar), and Touch Me are some of my favorite sings by them.

*9* John likes them too.

Well we all shine on like the moon, the stars, and the sun.

Ah the Doors, another great 60's band. My favorite by them would be Light My Fire. I also enjoy Riders on the Storm too.

Wonderful band with such a very unique sound. I have all their studio albums and Robbie Krieger has always been an under-rated guitarist. He was so fantastic. I perform 'Love Me Two Times' during my gigs and always get a positive reaction from our fans.

The further one travels, the less one knows

I've never heard a song by The Doors I haven't liked. One of my favorite bands.

When I listen to them, they remind me of the Beatles in that they sound great rocking or mellow. They have a song for every occasion.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I've never really taken the time to listen to them, but from what I think was them, they are great.

Mr Mojo Risin!  (an anagram for Jim Morrison)    I love The Doors.  One of my favorite 60s bands.

LA Woman

Riders on the Storm

Love me Two Times

Light My Fire

People are Strange

Break on Through to the Otherside

Peace Frog

Some of my favorite I can name off of the top of my head.

Jim died when he was 27, along with Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and Kurt Cobain.  And his birthday was December 8th, also the day John was shot (different year obviously)

I love their first album, particularly the first few songs. If you’re interested in a good book on The Doors and Jim Morrison I recommend No One Here Gets Out Alive. Some of Morrison’s lyrics were terrible, though. Teenage poetry at its worst.

Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon
Or buy my paperback/ebook! Riding So High – The Beatles and Drugs

Don't miss The Bowie Bible – now live!

I can't really take the Doors in large doses — I tend to zone out after a while to their music — but there are a few songs of theirs that I'd rank as my all-time favourites by anybody…. I absolutely love “Love Her Madly” and “LA Woman “, while “People Are Strange” and “Touch Me” are also excellent tunes….and maybe best of all is this one:

I could listen to “Roadhouse Blues” over and over

I've got nothing to say, but it's okay..

GOOD MORNING!

GOOD MORNING!!

Light My Fire (long version) is one of my top 5 songs of all times.

Love Me Two Times and Hello I Love You are also great.

They really had a unique and easily identifiable sound. First album was perfect; then they started to get worse and worse and still worse…but then they got a little better and then even better again; and then Morrison died. I never did hear the two post-Jim albums so I can’t speak of them. But of the rest, I’d say they put out 3 1/2 albums worth of great stuff on 6 albums.

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

I agree with Von Bontee.

That first album is a perfect album; contributed a great deal to the Summer of Love with Sgt Pepper , All You Need Is Love , Cream, Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, etc…

Lot of great stuff after that (e.g. When the Music’s Over), but you have to hunt and peck around.

Saw the Doors at Madison Square Garden. Great concert (+ until that day, I’d never heard anyone burp into an arena microphone).

"Into the Sky with Diamonds" (the Beatles and the Race to the Moon – a history)
