OfflineRecently, I had a lot of fun coming up with a playlist for a thread started by The Walrus. Now it’s your turn. I don’t want to fill you up with my rules, so may I merely suggest you…
1) Use the typical Beatles album set-up of 14 songs (unless you are producing the Whiter Album – in that case, go crazy)
2) Use at least 1 song sung by Ringo
3) Have the entire Beatles catalogue at your disposal
4) Have a theme- you don’t need to tell a story like I did, but let us know how they tie together
I named my playlist Sgt. Ziggers, Homely Art Thou Band and it looks like this:
Side 1
Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
With A Little Help From My Friends
Strawberry Fields Forever
All You Need Is Love
Good Morning Good Morning
Lovely Rita
Baby You're A Rich Man
Side 2
Magical Mystery Tour
She's Leaving Home
Hello, Goodbye
Fixing A Hole
When I'm Sixty-Four
Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)
A Day In The Life
I play this list on the iPod every once in a while and it actually sounds pretty darn good.
Let’s hear yours.
Can’t wait to play them!
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, Let it roll for all its worth.

OfflineHere it goes. (I'm Cheating A little bit here, but It works.)
This is taking place in 1970.
1. Kansas City/Hey Hey Hey Hey
2. Money (That's What I Want)
3. Think For Yourself
4. With A Little Help From My Friends
5. Long Tall Sally
6. Twist and Shout
7. Ohio (Not Beatles, but I need it for the story) by CSNY
This is the story of a 17 year old teenage girl called Nancy. Living in Kansas City and having the best school year ever. With her friends, Sally and Megan, she is rocking. Until She Hears The CSNY hit Ohio, about the Kent State Shootings of May 4, 1970. Learning more of the Attacks, She Falls into a major tailspin, helped by the Beatles Breakup of earlier in the year.
8. She's Leaving Home
9. I'm Only Sleeping
10. Yesterday
11. Let It Be
12. Dear Prudence
13. Something
14. The End
15. A Hard Day's Night
She Almost Leaves Home, but she realises it was just a dream. Nancy's friends really took the Lyrics of Yesterday to Heart, and Blamed US President Richard Nixon, Leading to Death Thraets being sent to him. Sally and Megan Try to get Nancy out of the funk by playing her Let It Be and Dear Prudence, but it Doesn't work. In a last ditch effort, They Play Nancy Something, and It works. It was the End of Nancy's Funk, but her friends chalk it up to a A Hard Day's Night.
Hope you enjoyed the tale of Nancy.

OfflineDang you Zig with your irresistible games~
Hmmm…
Side One: Falling in Love
1. "Help!"
2. "Little Child"
3. "I Saw Her Standing There"
4. "I've Just Seen a Face"
5. "I'll Get You"
6. "Getting Better"
7. "Good Day Sunshine"
This first side is an exciting, happy, and slightly cheesy collection of love songs. Our hero(ine) starts out in need of a friend, and finds more than he (or she) was looking for. It seems like our hero(ine) has gone from sad and lonely to in love on a sunny day in only minutes.
Side Two: What Went Wrong?
8. "It Won't Be Long"
9. "Drive My Car"
10. "Norwegian Wood"
11. "Don't Pass Me By"
12. "I Want to Tell You"
13. "Yesterday"
14. "For No One"
The second side starts out optimistic, but there's some friction. It seems like they jumped into this too quickly, and they're starting to get into small fights. Eventually, they're ditching on dates, even though they still love each other, and they find it hard to speak to each other clearly. Finally, our hero(ine)'s troubles catch up with him (her), and (s)he decides that, even though they won't be able to go on together, they'll always remember each other.
Wow, that was fun! I'll make another one tomorrow.

OfflineIt's a rock opera, preliminarily entitled "Revolution"
Featuring: Paul McCartney (the narrator), John Lennon (the narrator, William, the Sun King), George Harrison (the Fool)
Side 1:
Tomorrow Never Knows
Sun King
The Fool on the Hill
Beware of Darkness (Harrison)
Oh My Love (Lennon)
Polythene Pam*
Run For Your Life
Happiness Is A Warm Gun
The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill
Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
I Am The Walrus
While My Guitar Gently Weeps*
-The narrator instructs you to let tge story overwhelm your senses so you can enjoy it (Tomorrow Never Knows). He tells of a world where a despotic dictator rules using mind control to trick people into thinking they are happy (Sun King), despite the sun never rising and the people of the world stumble around in darkness. One person is immune, a crippled minstrel known only as the Fool. He is looked down upon by those who pass his hill (the Fool on the Hill). One day, he seizes a passer by, a young boy called William, and helps him overcome the tricks of the Sun King (Beware of Darkness). William is overcome with emotion (Oh My Love), and the two of them plot to overthrow the Sun King. William suggests getting to his mistress, Polytheme Pam (Polythene Pam). However, when they approach her, the Sun King flies into a rage (Run For Your Life), and Pam is banished. William suggests shooting the Sun King (Happiness Is A Warm Gun) and sets out to do so (The Continuing Story of Bungalow Bill). However, he is hypnotised by the Sun King (Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds) and goes mad (I Am The Walrus). Distraught, the Fool plays a sad song on his guitar (While My Guitar Gently Weeps).
Side two:
Come Together
Revolution
She Said She Said
All You Need Is Love
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Think For Yourself
Norwegian Wood/She Came In Through the Bathroom Window
Revolution 9/Heading For The Light (Traveling Wilburys)
Here Comes The Sun
The Fool calls for support from the people (Come Together), who are increasingly having periods of lucidity. However, they prefer the influence of the Sun King to the dark world they experience when lucid, so are anrgy at the Fool (Revolution). Pam comes to the rescue, with a speech that convinces the masses that lucidity is better than cruel lies (She Said She Said). The people agree that the darkness would be bareable with the help of each other (All You Need Is Love). With revolution in the air, the Fool makes a cry for change (While My Guitar Gently Weeps). However, as he is crippled, he is unable to kill the Sun King himself. Pam volunteers, and the Fool gives her a few words of advice (Think For Yourself). As the Sun King reminsces about his mistress in the bath(Norwegian Wood), Pam enters through the window and stabs his with her silver spoon (She Came In Through The Bathroom Window). The world descends into chaos as people crash down from their highs (Revolution 9), but the Fool, who is unaffected, senses change and genuine light (Heading For the Light). Finally, the sun rises for the first time, bringing true happiness (Here Comes The Sun).

It is a cool idea – I like every song on that list as well. As a matter of fact, Rain is my favorite.

I love the fact that you…
1) Lead off with TNK – brilliant! 2) Used Run For Your Life 3) Used Anthology versions of PP and WMGGW
It sounds like an awesome story with a great list of songs – very nice!

A very nice list of songs. The pairing that really caught my eye was She's Leaving Home/Two of Us. I think they would sound great back-to-back.
